Kawasaki Zzr 1200. Iv'e Been Riding Bikes For 49 Y
KAWASAKI ZZR 1200. Iv'e been riding bikes for 49 years of and on road, as im 61 i wanted a bit more comfort than my gsxr I had so looked around on the internet for several months and finaly brought a 13000 miler for £3500 and the bikes like brand new with a few extras like heated grips and stainless rad & oil cooler cover. The bikes a bit heavy when you have to move it, but once on the move its an absolute joy to own , it handles lots better than some sports bikes iv'e ridden and Kawasaki did an exellent job by moveing the bars back a bit & bringing the foot pegs slightly further forward making it a good all round sports tourer that does'nt give me wrist ache or the cramp in my thigh unlike some tourers iv'e ridden. The engine is brill and will pull like a rocket in any gear and the noise of the air box is addictive when you give it some throtle.I have been pleasantly surprised at the fuel consumption as it seems to be returning a constant 50 mpg whatever i do.Have'nt had the weather yet to realy push it but the handling seems spot on, so on a nice summers day it should be quite interesting, as you can flick it left to right with the greatest of ease and even for an old codger like me it enspires confidence in the way it rolls into corners & gives good feed back of the front end., ulike some bikes iv'e ridden that are supposed to be out & out sports bikes but when pushed feel very vague at the front end.Overall im looking forward to putting some serious miles in on it in the summer, paint finish is good and the fact that the headlight is massive & bright so you can be seen & is probably one of the best iv'e ever seen on a bike at night it better than my car. This is a very underestimated bike and if it had a honda badge would cost considerably more to buy, new or second hand.Great bike only thing i can fault it on are the service intervals, but hey nothings perfect.

Owned motorcycles for over 30 years and a few of the where Kawasaki's bullet proof engine as long as you let her warm up and change the oil regular chain oiler recommended one of the few hyper bikes that you can service yourself none of this fuel injection rubbish. Brakes are top notch as so they should be with the speed this old girl can reach not for the faint hatred or newbie due to her weight. Well worth looking after loved the bike when I seen her didn't measure the gate to see if she would fit through ah well all for under £3400

Have Owned This Kawasaki Zz-r1200 Bike For 2 Years
Have owned this Kawasaki ZZ-R1200 bike for 2 years now and i am not even thinking of trading, it does everything i need it to, whether it is a quick mental blast or a smooth sedate cruise, and the fuel consumption for a 1200 is superb, have had 52 miles to the gallon. It turns as quick as my old zx6r even for its size.

I Have To Say This Bike Goes Like A Rocket And Has
I have to say this bike goes like a rocket and has bags of character. Its pretty well put together and reasonable easy to work on. I have added Genmar risers, a Corbin seat and a Givi rack which i believe add to my enjoyment of the bike.
I regularly get 200 miles to a tank and rarely have to adjust the chain but that is probably down to my smooth riding style.
I think the four lights which are on all the time do a good job in making me more visible as I have noticed people in front seem to see me more than they did when I rode my XJR1300 which has just got a single light. Got to say I do not like the latest bikes which only have one light working when there are two there, what a crazy law that is!
I would definitely recommend the big 'Z'and its a bit different.

I Bought The Kawasaki Zz-r1200 In December 2003 Br
I bought the Kawasaki ZZ-R1200 in December 2003 brand new. Only problems have been some rust on the front brake discs (replaced under warranty), and being scratched by the dealer at first service. This bike is extremely comfortable, the longest non stop being Nottingham to Aberdeen, has excellent power delivery, and yet averages 50 mpg. General cruising speed on A roads or M/ways 100mph. Paint is understated which suits me, but finish is certainly not Honda standard. Great bike though...
50 mpg?? Blimey. That's more than I ever got out of the 600 version.
