Traded Up From The Baby Shadow So For Me A Big Dif

Traded up from the baby shadow so for me a big difference in power the honda ntv700. Steady and reliable with enough punch for normal UK roads. Not a sports bike but easy riding either alone or two up. Would consider that its the equivalent of a nippy saloon car (if that makes sense). Good sensible bike.

Upgraded To The Nt700 Only A Couple Of Months Ago.

Upgraded to the NT700 only a couple of months ago. Live in Scotland so plenty opportunities to go touring around the highlands and lochs. Didnt want to go alone and wanted a bike that both my wife and I could enjoy. Choice featured on comfort for both rider and pillion with ample power. Sports tourers didnt fit in the comfort stakes and I didnt want a cruiser as my last bike was one and it gets a bit uncomfortable wind wise after a while. The Honda is fitting the bill so far. No problem to comfortably handle a 3 hour country road journey and plenty power to handle country roads and the hill climb. If you want top end performance then this prob isnt for you. It drives with the power of a mid range car, plenty torque through the gears. It just wins on handling at mid range speed and on comfort.Build quality is good a you would expect from honda although the gear changes are a wee bit clunky. Not a cheap touring alternative but an aggressive tourer.

Have Owned Mine For 9 Months Now. Do On Average 40

Have owned mine for 9 months now. Do on average 400 miles a week, mixed riding and occasional two touring. Does exactly what it says on the packet, stress free, easy to ride, stable in wet and dry, great lights, the machine always Honda had hoped it would be. A baby Pan really. the only problem I had was that at 5ft 5 ins the seat was just that bit too tall for me, but had it reprofiled for £40 by Viking, all in less than an hour, and now its transformed my low speed confidence. the BT020's seem to be holding up well, the fronts look like they will go to at least two sets of rears, managed 8k from the first one. My only critique would be maybe a 6th gear, just to make motorway work a bit more comfortable, may also help the vibrabtion issue although its not a big deal.

On My Second Honda Ntv700-deauville .i Use It All

On my second Honda NTV700-Deauville .I use it all year round on a daily commute of 80Km.Totally reliable with excellent weather protection it is ,with its maintenance free shaft drive ,the ideal bike for commuting. Comfortable seat, built in panniers, shaft drive, excellent lights, good fuel economy and good handling. Bad points are gearbox inflexibility ,no gear indicator and heavy to manoeuvre at slow speeds.

Just Picked My Honda Deauville Up Last Saturday. B

Just picked my Honda Deauville up last Saturday. Build quality very good, I'm very pleased with it. Will be using it for commuting and touring (Northern France) but as it's my first bike with panniers I need to get used to them before filtering through traffic.Possibly the dogs cahooners of small touring bikes.

I Bought A 2007 Honda Deauville For My Retirement

I bought a 2007 Honda Deauville for my retirement bike (after many years of BMW ownership) as I could no longer afford BMW prices I had my ABS Deauville fitted with a colour matched top-box, a power socket, an Optimate socket and the Honda heated grips before delivery, all in readiness for another extended camping trip around Europe.

When it came time for the trip I loaded the Honda with all the equipment that I usually carry, including a fold-up chair and an aluminium bed, and had a real job to get the bike off the stand due to all the weight on the back end. Since then I load up on the side-stand! I also still have trouble removing the seat, it doesn't feel quite right - or is it me?

On the trip (and since) the Honda proved to be an excellent all-rounder with adequate power for touring although you have to 'plan' your overtakes a bit more. I achieved fuel economy in the low 70's at best and found the bike very comfortable between fuel stops, although my aging body needs a break before then. I really think an easily adjustable screen (not necessarily electric) is essential on a touring bike and a fuel reserve would be handy as well - in case the gauge fails. But the big thing for me - it needs a sixth gear; even now I still try to up-change from fifth - I consider almost 5000 revs at 70 mph is excessive, not economical and not necessary!

Overall, though, the bike is very good at what it does and I consider it excellent value-for-money.

I agree in the most items. Regarding the seat remoovable problem - try to put on some silicone on the rubber clogs under the seat. It goes off very seasy after that... Guess you have found this out now but still.. (I am not very english speaking if ane one is wondering :)) -)

Does everything you would expect of a mini tourer. Costs next to nothing to run, and requires little maintenance.

Easy To Ride. Great For The Comute To Work On A Da

Easy to ride. Great for the comute to work on a daily basis. Excellent all-weather bike, especially in the pouring rain.

Have done some very long motorway riding and found this to be the best ride so far. Spent 4 hours on motorway in very heavy rain, bike held onto the road vey well.

A very good and reliable bike. The best all-weather bike so far.

It Does Exactly What It Says On The Tin. Some Peop

It does exactly what it says on the tin. Some people say it's boring to ride, well if you want something to pull your arms off, then yes, it wont do that. Lets face it, anyone who rides a bike for real (that is other than a weekend) and simply wants to get from A to B in comfort and with some dignity without having your bum in the air to do it, then this is the bike for you.

It is very capable, corners well, the brakes are superb, there is ample space in the large panniers & top box to carry a weekly shop for 2 folks, believe me , me & the missus do just that most weekends.

I use mine daily to commute, and I have to say I can find no fault with it at all, probably made by "Carlsberg".
