Just Done A Stage 1 Upgrade On My Street Glide And
Just done a stage 1 upgrade on my Street glide and its go's now.
Vance and Hines ovel slip ons, Screeming eagle air filter amd a Vance and Hines fuel pak.
I have read lots of bad things about Vance and Hines fuel pak's but so far mine is working fine, just plugged it in, tapped in the numbers and of it went.
Not done that many miles yet but what I have done there was no problem.
Best thing is those pipes, now my Harley sounds like a Harley at last.
Done the whole stage 1 myself, cost £740 for all the bits., not the £1500 the dealers want, took me just over an hour to complete.

Just Got Myself A 2010 Street Glide And Wow What A
Just got myself a 2010 Street glide and wow what a bike, I've had it for two months now and I'm well inpressed.
On saying that I'm so sure about the saddle, as after about 40 minutes my rear end says it needs more padding. on a good note it handles bends really well better than my old deuce ever did.
I find the engine powerfull enough for me, why people spend so much money on upgrades I don't know. I will however get myself a stage one, The bike sounds so bad with them standard pipes.I love the new sixth gear, well its new to me, it makes the bike run a lot smoother at speed. With our English winter weather comming Ill soon be able to test the ABS brakes to the limit, so far I have been pleased although they dont stop as well as I thought they might, Ill soon see what they think of the wet roads.
Love the CD player, and the cruse control will be great on long trips,
I think the only other thing I might change is the screen, now I'm only 5ft 9 inches tall but the wind in my face is a problem, when it turns cold its going to be worse.
Overall I love it and I'm glad I upgraded from the Deuce, I loved my old Deuce and went all over Europe on it, but the power and the smoothness of the Street glide is second to none.
If I could have afforded it I would have got a CVO, but its a little out of my price range, but I'm happy with what I have got, well untill I win the Lottery.

I Own A 2009 Street Glide. Comfort, Great. Motor?
I own a 2009 street glide. comfort, great. Motor? not so good. This ride is babied and still had cam plate crack, compression rings collapse, brackets in fairing break. Although HD Dealer At Granite Mtn, Harley in Conyers, Ga. fixed under warranty, I'm not sure if I will trust motor for long trip. I guess I expected better quality product for the sum of money spent.

Having Riding The Same Heritage For 21 Years I Tho
having riding the same heritage for 21 years i thought i should upgrade. i bought a 09 street glide with lots of extras. i"m still spoiled from my heritage so its hard to form an opion. it has lots of power and comfort except going over the slightest bumps. the rear suspension is almost non existant. the shock wave through my body does"nt do my butt any good. the rear brake is very spongey and hard to stop. the saddle bag latches keep popping open, have to keep them locked all the time. the transmision clunks loudly when shifting, thats something harley will never fix. i expected more from a new motorcycle. but i know i will learn to love it in time..

Harley Davidson Street Glide - FLHX is a very comfortable, nice and low, handles well, nice power, great style, great sound.
Needs more hands on care to keep it running properly, if you buy a Harley, this is a fact of life.

I Just Traded In My 02 Night Train For A 2009 Stre
I just traded in my 02 Night Train for a 2009 Street Glide (Oct 03, 2008); wow what a smart move. Greater HP, an extra gear (6 vice 5), windshield, sturdiness, and storage. Although I missing the sinister look of the Night Train, the pros out weigh the cons when compared. I two days I will take a 1500 mile trip from TX. to CA. and I ' m sure I will not be at all fatigued.
Another check off the old bucket list; thanks HD.
Awesome bike!!!!!!!

The New Harley Davidson Street Glide Is The Way Th
The new Harley Davidson Street Glide is the way things are moving, bags for convenience, batwing for styling, and yet enough street cred to bar hop all night; no where near as 'old man' as a classic bagger and certainly the best starting point for a hopped up custom in the bagger style!
