What's Not To Love?

I've had my g1 for 4 years now and it has never missed a beat. Loads of power and good stopping power also. It's quite forgiving to ride I take it to work each day, and is quite nimble through traffic. Other bikes are making the look outdated but it's still a pretty machine. Plenty of swapable parts and they're easy to find and make the bike "yours". I still get nice comments and rubberneck passers by, so it's not THAT dated I guess. I'd recommend this bike to anyone who wants a quick bike that handles but isn't going to break the bank. I love my g1 so much, you can cut me and I'll bleed green!

Nuff said.

I Dont Quite Understand Why The Kawasaki Zx6r Has

I dont quite understand why the Kawasaki ZX6R has received such a low star rating, in my opinion it is worthy of 6 out of 5 stars. i have a 1998 G1 model, and it is my baby. it is extremely fast, extremely light, looks good, handles like the best of them, good brakes, good suspension, good noise, and the fun factor is turned up waaay over 11.

it is everything you need in a bike, and more. it does 168 mph (indicated, probs more like 155 genuine), handles really well due to the good adjustable suspension as stock, and low weight, and is more than affordable. mine was £1350 back in 2008 with 32K on it. it had been stored for 9 years, and started soon as a decent battery was inserted. it was mint, worthy of a bike shop. i have done 4 trackdays on it so far, and they were not slow ones, i ride it hard on the road and even harder on the track, and it loves being thrashed. it has 50K on it now and shows no signs of giving up anytime in the near future. it is also very fuel efficient, i get 160 miles to a tank on a good week, and is the most reliable bike i have ever had. never missed a beat, starts regardless of weather. i rode this through a winter and it never coughed, never had a problem with carb icing.

it has only 2 bad points. the rear tyre is a 170 section, a hard shape to get hold of, but luckily our friends at michelin do a pilot power for it, and the petrol guage. there aint one. when you run out, you know. it coughs a couple of times before giving out, which gives you a chance to reach for the reserve.

so if you want a cheap reliable fast fun bike, get a ninja. you wont want anything else!

Good All Round Performer, However Now Ever Other C

Good all round performer, however now ever other company have caught up and are now over taking the kwack and all its balls out madness.

Kawasaki need to get more in tune with the consumer and get the looks department updated and have better break calipers and possibly a stearing damper as standard.

But if you thrash the balls of it, you are sure to keep up with the crowd.

The Kawasaki Zx6r Is A Great Bike - I Had Mine For

The Kawasaki ZX6R is a great bike - I had mine for two years from new and I loved it - whether I was out for the day on it with friends or commuting to work it never let me down plus with the 168mph top speed it could keep up with the best of them!
