Honda vtr SP2 998

I had one of these for two years and absolutly loved it!! they are very quick bikes, i dont mean top end fast like a gixxer or R1, i mean twisty road, 2nd,3rd,4th gear massive grunt and midrange quick!! awesome, and the character!! these always pull more looks than most at any bike meet, and you know that you're riding summat special. What must be done though, fit a one tooth smaller sprocket on the front, k&n filter, some race cans, PC3, then a custom map, mine was putting 133 bhp to the back wheel! which is a strong motor for an SP, and similar to an R1 or blade of the same vintage, but the SP made its peak torque at 5500 rpm, all 76 lbs/ft of it, where as a blade/gixxer/R1 only makes that torque at about 10000 rpm, give or take, so you can see how they make a fast road bike, you need good low down grunt on our roads not outright power..people who slag off v twins are normally lads who've never rode one!! or lads who cant even ride what they own!!
