Yamaha YZF450

This is a very powerfull bike with a big improvement from the 2004 model yzf450 as it has a smoother powerband and therefore a smoother ride. But this bike bike does require alot of maintanence and in some cases its not exactly cheap. I would recomend this bike to other riders who are looking for that little bit more power.

I bought the Yamaha YZF450 bike brand new in Feb 2006( 2005 model).Since then have serviced bike - every 500km's change oil, every 1000km's change oil,oil filter ,spark plug,check valve clearance's( not adjusted yet ) clean airfilter every second ride depending on how much dust during ride's. I know they recommend changing piston and rings every 50 hours, I have ridden at least 100 hours and bike still goes perfectly, does not smoke and still starts easily - 1 kick when hot , 2-3 kicks when cold. I mostly ride trail / enduro so suspension could be bit more plush. Also had to sprocket bike to suit trail riding because it is only 4 speed gearbox. I am still very happy with the bike and from day one I have not had any problems - what more can I say.
