Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic 500

I purchased classic 500 last month and have driven it for 600 Km ,I am facing the following problems -

1) The bike just refuse to start in the morning because of cold

2) it stops while changing gears

3) on sudden acceleration it misses

4) some kind of cranking sound is coming from the front tyre rim which does not go away despite of three repairs from authorized service centre .

I am really ashamed that I waited for this bike for 6 months , WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY FOR ME :(

I would ride anything other than an RE Classic 500 for some time atleast. I got back to biking after a long gap of seven years using only cars during that time. Now for the past three weeks only wife driven cars, me only my beloved C5! Even my wife learned to ride it, rather well through busy Indian roads. The C5 is a charmer where ever it goes. I have been hooked for life. Man, just go for it.

on 23/12/2009 i bought bullet classic 500cc bike looks cool!! But it is FAIL PRODUCT!!! in cool condition its plugs are black in colour & black smoke comes from its exaust in total it consumes lot of fule not only this one has to change its spark plugs if you have bought it then keep another set of plugs & dont take it on long distaces OK YOU DONT BLEAVE ME SEE BY YOUR SELF OPEN THE PLUGS OF YOUR BIKE !!!!(FOR ONE WHO HAS & BIG NOOOO TO ONE WHO IS THINKING OF BUYING IT).

Great value for the money, great bike. No other bike gets you the kind of attention like a Royal Enfield. The bike is so cool that people everywhere ask you about it.

Real cool appearance but backed up with a very decent ride and overall performance. I added the solo seat and saddle bags to my bike with the 40's model look. Also, my humble steed gets double takes from guys on road kings all the time. Forget the low-to-the-ground ride. This bike sets you up in the real world. I passed a Jeep Cherokee yesterday and could see over the roof. I can ride side-by-side with an SUV and look at the driver at eye level. This is a very visible and, in my opinion, a safer ride than lower bikes. The handling of curves drops with the narrow tires and the top speed is 75 mph, but anything over that is illegal anyway. The bike handles very well overall and is a true joy to take out on the scenic routes.
