After Few Years Of Embryonic Riding Gpz500s, Sabre
After few years of embryonic riding GPZ500S, Sabre is just out of this world. I really respect gear span, I can start with passanger from the 3rd gear and engin doesn't notice it :) Excellent ergonomy, you are not crucified, I think position on this bike was designed by a physiotherapist. Producer's exhaust sounds good enough, I do not intend to replace them for louder, they allow to ride through suburbs early in the morning. And these delicious wheels...

Had Several Bikes Since 1967, And Several Brands.
Had several bikes since 1967, and several brands. I keep coming back to Honda, for one simple reason, value. Honda builds a reliable bike for a lot less cash. The Sabre 1100C2, well they are about as good as they get in my opinion. Being an over the hill senior citizen, I needed a bike was to handle, yet strong enough to handle our interstate system. The Sabre is it. It's a really too bad Honda stopped making them. The only weakness I've found in this bike is the style of foot pegs, they certainly could have been thought out much better.

Honda Sabre 1100 (2004) Is My First Bike! Great H
Honda Sabre 1100 (2004) is my first bike! Great handling even for a novice rider. Too much or too little power? Not at all: It has enough and more to excite and maneuver out of trouble. Comfortable on long trips, enjoyable around town. Outfitted mine with aftermarket chrome, mustang seat, cobra hiway bars, saddlebags and more. Would I recommend it? Without hesitation - Yes!

This Is My First Bike, But Even I Could Figure Out
This is my first bike, but even I could figure out where the oil drain plug and oil filter was. How? I read the owner's manual. Anyway, I took the MSF class a while back and purchased my Sabre shortly after. Added to mine are chrome engine guard, highway bars, floorboards, saddlebag, passenger backrest, handlebar risers, and Vance & Hines 2 into 1 pipes. Sounds and runs great!

This Is My Fourth Honda, Two Were Inline Four Cyli
This is my fourth Honda, two were inline four cylinder engines (550 Four and a Nighthawk 750) , two V twins (Shado Aero, and the Sabre) so I'm not inexperienced with Honda's. The people who put this bike together stopped way short of making it a GREAT bike. Putting a VTX1300 tank at 4.8 gals (is that a REAL number?) and a couple of bucks in gauges would have made me REAL happy. Hell, if I had Honda custom accessories that fixed my problems but they ripped me off on them I'd be happy.I have 3300 miles on it in 4+ months and am completely familiar with it enough so that if I were designing it I'd make lots of changes all noted above. So it may sound like I don't like the bike, that's not so I do like it. I just look at its shortcomings as people designing bikes THEY like or people designing bikes that they don't ride more than a few turns on a track somewhere.
The drain plug for the oil is near the front of the engine on the left hand side, the side with the kick stand. Most cruisers do not offer fuel gauges, but sure would be nice. Agree about the tail light, one bulb makes me nervous.

Overall This A Bike That Out Powers Many Bikes In
Overall this a bike that out powers many bikes in its class (and even some bigger displacement ones), has enough after market chrome covers and add ons available to make it really shine, and with after market pipes, air filter, and carb re-jetting, it makes more than enough power for an 1100 cc. bike. Many riders say because of its shorter wheelbase, and lighter weight, it will out handle the VTX's. But, if power is all you care about, buy a bigger bike. If you want a bike that does everything well, stands out in a crowd, and has an excellent "bang for the buck factor" this is the bike for you!

The Honda Sabre Has Great Styling, Easy To Service
The Honda Sabre has great styling, easy to service. Handles well and easy to manuver in traffic. Only had bike 13 months as a deer decided to take it away. Cruised well on highways even in windy conditions. Carried 2 up decently though could have used a 6th gear. Mileage is fairly good at average 38-40 mpg. Loved it once we changed out the handlebars for Valkryie bars and added the Corbin seat. Very comfortable for a 5'-10 1/2 person.
