I Bought My Honda 929 Blade About 3 Months Ago Aft
I bought my Honda 929 Blade about 3 months ago after having a stint on a yamaha thunderace. All I can say is Wow! The Motor is strong from low revs and blissteringly fast at mid and high RPM. The Blade is light at 172 kg and with 152hp on tap is more than a match for all the other 900 cc sportsbikes. I myself am 18 stone in weight and it pulls me about effortlessly easily keeping up with 15 stone boys on similar machines. Look out when i power commander it and put a new can and filter on it. It will go to 164hp and be a lot more tourqey than before. Handling is sublime, so go and get a 2001 blade is all I can say.

I Purchased My 2001 Honda Cbr929rr New In August 2
I purchased my 2001 Honda CBR929RR new in August 2001 in the U.S. It's called a Fireblade everywhere else in the world except in the U.S. I brought it to Europe with me a year later and have enjoyed it immensely for the three past years.
It's fast, with a fantastic mid-range (check Motorcylist Mag.'s performance index to see the roll-on numbers - it really does scoot when you roll it on). It's a fine handler with very good front end feel, reassuring for a fledgling corner carver like me.
It's comfortable enough for all day trips. I've done 350 mile days on it in Italy and not felt too fatigued (and I'm 51!). It's been completely, utterly reliable and troublefree for over 12,000 miles. It's a Honda. It's easy to live with, and easy to maintain (does the chain EVER stretch?).
It's practical with good storage under the passenger pad. And my wife says it's comfortable to ride on the back. She much prefers it to my old 1990 CBR1000F. For driver seating position is just about perfect for my range of driving situations. I thought of heli-bars, but decided I didn't need 'em. I like the control the current bars afford at speed. I can cruise at 100 mph comfortably and safely.
All told it's a fantastically versatile and able bike. I hear the CBR954RR is even better. There are, of course, faster and even better handling bikes now available. But, I haven't identified one yet that combines reasonable comfort, agility, real world performance, and practicality in as good a package as my 929 (Except the 954).
