Hi Although I Have Only Had This Bike A Month From

hi although i have only had this bike a month from the first moment i sat on it in the showroom i knew i had to have one.

i went originally to buy or consider buying a bonneville, but as soon as i sat on the bonneville range it did not feel right , it was thin and small, i then sat on the America although it was in the same range the America and Speedmaster feel completely different. they feel much bigger, there lower and i just love the styling. My first ride on it was brill everything felt smooth and right, I was hooked, i just love the bike and the only thing stopping me riding it everyday is the weather.

if there are any negatives they are, no centre stand, how can u check oil, chain, fill tank to brim, grease chain, change tyre. There are so many negs to not having one, i dont know why triumph dont do one as an option. But this is not the only bike that does not have one. seems a manufacturers idiotic policy. The other neg. is no adjustments on screen and foot pegs and gearlever, reason everyone does not have the same length legs and arms.

will write another review later.

My Bonneville America Is A 2008 865cc Efi Model,

My Bonneville America is a 2008 865cc EFI model, finished in Pacific Blue and New England white. I specified an extra 1400 quids worth of extras and I still drool over it in the garage most nights. Sounds like a bike should and always commands interest from the old boys' who used to ride Triumphs in their youth. The ride is extremely comfy and even the missus likes the pillion seat and peg positions. It starts first push on the starter in all weather and has never let me down.

A perfect cruising machine!!

The Polished Alloy rims seem to be showing signs of corrosion after only 3 trips out over the winter even after careful washing etc.

Bought My Triumph America 3 Saturdays Ago And Have

Bought my Triumph America 3 saturdays ago and have clocked up 600 miles ,first service done and now building up on revs and speed.

Totally happy with it the riding position with the wide bars is spot on for my 6ft 2 frame, the bike is very stable on the roads and handles well ,so a joy to ride on country roads, dual carrigeways and motorways the america takes in it stride and is reasuringly stable in cross winds or side blast from big trucks and coaches, the car dont like it though its only been used twice in the last 3 weeks,as evry chance or flimsiest exscuse im off on the bike.

In summary I started on a triumph T140 in the 80s and didnt think id have a modern Triumph, but im certainly glad I have, and have returned to Triumph, after a long road of japenese, italian and harleys its with triumph I will stay.

Seating Position, Seat Itself Is So Comfy, 6000 Mi

Seating position, seat itself is so comfy, 6000 miles covered in go and not pain in sight. The riding position is equally comfy and being reasonably short the seat height standard is just right. A lovely bike to ride all in all.

Highly highly recommended for new or experienced riders.
