The Best For Less
VL1500 LC 2001. Well its has a old School Look not found on other Cursers. How the Japanese figured out how to make this is a miracle. Its not all about performance its style and art. I am won over.
The ride no one has complained about. Being one of or the longest Motorcycles made is the key to its ride. Everyone says its a big bike. But it is very manageable.
My recommendation is to not put a aftermarket exhaust on the bike. Too many problems. One Burt paints. Too loud. Loss of MPG. Poor performance. Who wants 10 HP at WOT and 10 less down low. This V twin is hard to tune. Its very big long stroke does not contribute well to emissions testing. The carb is set up to run lean real lean. Its fairly difficult to tune richer for a stock exhaust. It does not like the scoop removed or air filter for higher flow. it can be done yes. but if your bike is popping and back firing its not set up correct even if you are told so by the jet kit company's. Mine runs good does not back fire pop and gets decent MPG.
Here a example if the rear exhaust has a leak very small. The bike will be very hard to sync the carbs. Putting your hand over the carbs lightly the motor speeds up. This is when Hot. I believe its because it very lean. This is with a large main jet installed and three turns on the idle screws. Shimmed needle jet. I don't want to think about open pipes. You will have to change more than the jet company's are telling you with open pipes.
TO sum it up its a old school classic. Quiet with plenty of torque. And great ride. I have owned many types of motorcycles. This one lives up to its name.

Fantastic Cruiser! I Have The 2007 Vlx600c Before
Fantastic cruiser! I have the 2007 VLX600C before and upgraded to a used 2002 vl1500lc and this one is really far comparable to speed, power, comfortness, stability and no more lower back pain on long driving from home to work everyday. I love the VT600 but no regret trading it to VL1500. No more intimidation from bigger bikes and my driving confidense is lifted up. The preventive or regular maintenance can be done without special tools or hard corners to do it yourself. After market accessories are abundant too. The panel with gasoline indicator is really awesome.

Fantastic cruiser! I have a 2007 VLX600c before and no regret traded in for the used 2002 VL1500LC and this one is really far way comparable in terms of speed, power, reliability, stability and no more lower back pain from driving 45 miles one way commute from home to work everyday. It gives me more confidence and no more intimidation from bigger bikes. After market accessories are abundant too. The panel with gasoline indicator is really awesome and the two tone paint is a plus too. Just add more chromes and this one will surely get attention!

I've Got Over 10,000 Miles On My 2004 I Bought New
I've got over 10,000 miles on my 2004 I bought new off the floor in 05. This unit has been totally problem free, always starts and runs flawlessly, maintenance has proven to be user friendly, and I've not had one item from the factory to pose a problem. There are lots of aftermarket accessories available to meet your personal preferences including seats, pipes, and the spot lights I added to mine. To summarize, I like everything about this bike.

Overall The Suzuki Vl1500 Lc Is Very Good Value Fo
Overall the Suzuki VL1500 LC is very good value for money and better than some of the Harleys I've tried at a fraction of the price.Would definitely fit an aftermarket exhaust..The standard one is far too quiet and the catalyser cuts down on the power.Would I buy the same 2007 bike again...yes. Probably.

I Have Only Done 25,000 Mls On My Suzuki Vl1500 Lc
I have only done 25,000 mls on my Suzuki VL1500 LC but I enjoyed every one. It's great fun riding from Glasgow, Scotland, down through England, France and Spain - what a feeling cruising into Barcelona and down the side of the Med. I fitted lots of hard luggage as the storage as standard is zero, well worth the effort for security as much as anything else. I'm going to Ibiza in 2007 and want to add a drivers backrest and heel-rests before leaving - I could do with some help tracking these items down.
Cheers Big Gordon from Glasgow.
