Fat Boy Coming Through
My 5th Harley in 10 years and the best so far, I have owned 49 bikes (since the 80's) mainly Japanese and a few Germen and a couple of triumphs but I keep coming back to Harleys. I have just sold my meanstreak 1600 which I had no problems with but since buying it I felt I should of spent the extra and bought the Fatboy. I have now done this and don't regret my decision the bikes fantastic I don't think Ill ever get tired of looking at it. I make any excuse to go out for a ride no matter the weather only problem is the jobs around the house that I promised to do when I bought her aren't getting done, but what the hell the house will still be there when the dodgy weathers back. The best advice I can give is DO IT
Surprisingly Flexible
I bought this bike new in Aug 2010. Rode it to work for the first summer. performed well in the city and was easy to manouver in traffic. Got lots of attention and compliments on the bike. Comming from a sports bike background I found the bike a little hefty to corner. I struggled a little at first but slowly gained confidence. In 2011 and 2012 I took teh bike throught the Skylie Drive, Blue Ridge Parkway and Tail of the Dragon. Never had a mechanical problem and am very comfortable on it now!!
I love this bike but wanted more torque in the mountains so I upgraded to the Screaming Eagle Stage II 103 with a Super Tuner. The bike runs like a dream now. Would recommend buying the FLSTF 103 2012 and up and changing the pipes and add super tuner... It makes for an awesome ride!!
Pros:
Classy, comfortable, reliable, fun, good in city and long touring.
Cons:
Limited lean angle, exaust too quiet, 6th gear not really usable under 105 km/hr.

Unlike Some Of The Reviewers I Ride Mine To And Fr
Unlike some of the reviewers I ride mine to and from work on the highway on the county road, off the road even it isn't built for and I couldn't find any problems. It is very reliable ride when we talking about the engine and suspension. For those who are chugging on their "Harleys" 55 MPH try to turn the throttle all the way but be careful because it may surprise you. I am chugging with my buddies at 100-110 MPH and only problem I would emphasize is a head wind attempt to throw you of the bike. I can't stand the windshield on that type of the bike so I decide to with it. Some are calling Japanese bikes "Road Kings", and that is one more reason I believe those don't have a HD. I had a Japanese cruiser before I bought a Harley and that is totally different story. It looks like but when you get closer it really doesn't and it feels totally different. It is a copy, live with it! It is not my attempt to say that the Harley is the best bike in the world because it isn't but it is incomparable to any other motorcycle of that concept. It is not attempt to say those who ride Japanese cruisers are les people and I would rather ride Japanese than none but I managed to buy a Harley and now I know how it feels. It is more than a bike and it is for certain kind of people. Everybody likes it but only some can ride it (and I don't mean to those who can't afford it). At the end, it is fair to mention other not so good things about this bike but I can live with those. Electrical and wiring isn't as good as I would expect for this kind of bike. After one heavy rain the head light bulb went off and speedometer illumination started losing contact somehow. Tail light is also going off after any rain because the seal doesn't seem to be good. Other than that FLSTF 2007 is awesome ride!

I Find Regular Motorway Use Causes Harleys To Fall
I find regular motorway use causes Harleys to fall to bits as they are designed to chug along at 55mph not to keep up with Japanese 'road kings'. The Harley Davidson Fat Boy - FLSTF is a good bike to draw attention in a car park as it is a real head turner but that won't get you to & from work.

The Ride Is Everything But It Has Looks That Stop
The ride is everything but it has looks that stop people in their tracks, even folks who are not into cycles stop and look.
I love the bike and I look forward to many years of customizing and personalizing a bike that will last me a lifetime.

I Think Harley Has Built A Real Classic That Reall
I think Harley has built a real classic that really works well completely stock. The number of custom parts available for these bikes is endless, which makes them easy to personalize. The hard part is deciding what to add-on. Try that with a metric.
