Ton Up!

the super rocket had the best of everything the folks at bsa could engineer. top of the line (for the time) A10 engine with high compression pistons, 46hp, full-race 357 cam shaft for longer dwell and amal caerburettor. top speed of 112mph. arguably the best bike ever produced by bsa and among the best of its era, the rocket goldstar, used a higher tuned version of this same engine with an amal tt carb and goldstar frame.

the models produced between 1961-1963, with their improvements over past years, represent the best of the range.

The Bsa A10 Super Rocket Basically Had The Same Mo

The BSA A10 Super Rocket basically had the same motor as the Rocket Gold Star minus the manual ignition advance & retard and the Gold Star cycle parts & frame with the 'kink' for the oul pump. Like most A10's it could be maintained by the owner/rider & could be tweaked to enhance the performance & fuel economy. Top bike in its day with good roadholding and plenty of torque, it could see off most factory standard bikes, although needed better breaks when used as a 'road racer'.
