So Much Fun!
I sold my ZX9 after my baby girl was born to save money and I'm so glad I got this bike. As reliable as everyone says, still quick enough to overtake the crawlers and fantastic fuel economy.
£16 tax £85 insurance and about £50 a year on fuel.
The only thing I miss about my Ninja is the cornering, the Honda is a bit slow to lean but that's probably normal for scooters.
If this broke I'd buy it again, and if a 150cc model pops up (rare in UK) I'll get that and try the motorway.
Battery And Starting Issues
I have a 2006 model
these days it wont start and the garage is at a loss to know what the problem is
last year the battery kind of expanded and it turned out it was a regulator; it went thru three batteries before the fault was fixed
now even when fully charged it either starts first tome or after several goes or' not at all
its only done 5000 miles
its always been serviced properly and regularly.
Did you find out the problem?

What A Bike !
- history -
I have had two of these bikes the first did 25000 miles or so then it got stolen and written off.
the second had done 54000 miles and now no longer wants to start up =(
I've changed the exhaust more times then I can count all with official Honda exhausts, the bike it's self has started up first time every time even at 3 in the morning at -3 degrees.
It is just that dam good I've had it stood for 2 months and it's started up on the second attempt, this is the AUDI of motorbikes.

What A Bike 5*
I baught my 05 dylan 125 for only 250pound yes thats right with only 14k miles it was owend from new by a 34 year old woman from new ans she fell of this summer leaving light plastic damage to RH Side, for the money I wasnt exspecring much but by god I was shock with a said 13.5 - 14bhp it shifts with great acceleration I can get 70mph on a flat but realistically 65mph it been well service with genuine parts all the time and it runs a dream it fires up first touch every time, really smooth engine and good breaks the only problems I have had was the head stock bearings nut came lose and a relatively common problem the baffles in the exshaughst worked lose form the welding apart from them fairly minor problems its a fantastic bike with I will be keeping untill the engine packs up but hoping that will be some time as I have see and heard of around 30k miles before losing slight power and it tends to turn up about the belt and rollers this is a well built machine packing honda 4stroke reliability with parts easy to get hold of and genuine partsi.e air filters belts oil filters etc been quite cheep this is a bike you should buy and you will only know why you should buy it when you ride it

Honda Ses 125-4 Dylan, Incredible!!!
This scooter is a must buy! I bought mine a month ago and boy was that the best decision I've ever made!
This scooter is amazing! very economical, moves like s**t off a shovel, and handles great! Couldn't recommend it high enough.
Would suit from a relatively new rider up to an experienced rider. One ride on these two wheels and I ask myself the question, 'Why do people drive around on 4 wheels, when you can dodge the traffic and save loads of commuting time, pay less than half the price of the fuel economical car costs, pay a sixth of the price of a car on insurance, pay £16 a year tax, £30 MOT and most all of own a brilliant Honda machine!?...Absolute no brainer!!!
Honda build is quality.
So far no complaints.
Had the Dylan now for 2yrs, no complaints at all. Eventually will buy another.

60-70 Miles A Day. Had Completed 45,000 Miles And
60-70 miles a day. Had completed 45,000 miles and finally got so fed up with getting it fixed I traded it in for an SH125 (Big mistake...despite the bigger wheels all the same issues!). Lost count of the number of failed exhausts and the number of times the output shaft bearings were changed (at least 4 exhaust and 6 bearing replacements). They first failed when the bike had only done 120 miles! I hadn't even gone faster than 35mph by that point!
It's a real shame as the rest of the bike is fantastic. I could even live with the exhaust failures...just not the bearing problems
If you ride more then 10 miles each way get a proper bike. Avoid Dylan, SH, PS or any other v-belt Honda
I rode my PS125 about 5000 miles until a car pulled out in front of me; never had a problem with it.
I rode my last SH300 for 10,000 miles without a problem, until I sold it to my girlfriend and bought a second SH300.
Sounds like you had very bad luck.

I Would Buy This Scooter Again And Again. Good Bra
I would buy this scooter again and again. Good braking, fast acceleration, well designed and gives the rider confidence.
An oil check flashes on the dash every 2,500 miles (but check it manually with the dipstick every week to be sure you have oil)
Excellent scooter, well done Honda.

The Vw Golf Of Scooters. Starts First Time Every T
The VW Golf of Scooters. Starts first time every time, well screwed together , reliable and easy to get parts for. Fuel tank is a little small, 8 quid gets me about 135 miles. Would highly recommend. Don't buy cheap chinese bikes. They get damp and dont start.
Q&A
Is 25.000 miles a lot for a 2003 Honda ses 125- 3 Dylan scooter? The bike has been serviced regularly and kept in good condition.
No not really. My Honda SES 125-3 Dylan is 2006 and done over 20,000 miles and runs like new. The key thing is that it's been regularly serviced. I bought mine 2yrs ago when it had done 10,000 miles, and it had got full service history from new. Over the last 2yrs, I've had it serviced every 2,500 miles (in line with service schedule), and it has been a dream!
I'd definitely recommend a Dylan to anyone.
Need anymore info let me know no worries.
