My wife’s car is 18 months old, she was told she had to pay £289 for a oil change and they tried to charge her £380 for a puncture, these guys are horrendous stay far away from Vines Guildford BMW

Bought a new BMW R Nine T Sport from Vines at Guildord. The price was good, the initial phone call was good, the deal for additional kit was even better, paying for the bike on the second call was also good, however, it all went down hill from there on. I tried to order several items prior to collection but due to the service being so poor, I only ordered what I was entitled to, I bought a substantial amount of additional kit elsewhere. Collection day! how excited was I, until I opened a rear storage bag and found the rear hump scratched to hell. I rode the bike home and was told the replacement hump, the original exhaust, rear sub frame, the owners manual and the service book would be forwarded on. Over a month later the hump arrived, Scratched!. A few weeks later the exhaust arrived as did a damaged sub frame. STILL waiting for the owners manual and the service book. Such a shame, I have purchased new BMW bikes and cars for a number of years and can categorically say this is the worst service I have ever had. I wasn't going to give any feedback but the condition of the subframe and the lack of owners manual and service book is the last straw.

With a shake up they could be great! Really good set up and location.

Went to Vines today to have some bearings replaced. I phoned twice to make sure they knew what I wanted & once the day before the work was due to check all was ok. I came from Colchester to Guildford & when I got there I was told that they did not have the correct parts ! The service manager seemed more concerned with proving I'd asked for the wrong parts than resolving the problem. I know the difference between a crown wheel & a swing arm bearing & they felt I'd asked for the wrong part. The only staff members who showed any sympathy were the mechanics. I was looking to buy a new BM from them in April, I shall be going elsewhere !

I have purchased motorcycles from Vines and have also owned many many BMW cars from the 1980s until recently, my last car a new M5, I've be fortunate to have owned all the top cars and M cars over the years and superbikes. Vines are a really friendly bunch and when you are purchasing a new product they will do everything for the sale, however once this is done it soon goes down hill if you have issues. The BMW brand and service is no longer special. In the 1980s and 1990s it was the best, The problem with Vines GUILDFORD is they are simply to busy to notice the poor service, the phone lines are jammed a lot of the time, when I had a moan at them (lighthearted) their reply was sorry we just can't cope. Come on Vines DP wake up.

I have used the service of vines of Guildford BMW car service for my BMW car and regret it now. They had given me a loan car till the servicing is done. I had taken this car home on a 2 mile drive and had taken it back again to get back my car. To my surprise they charged me £240 saying, they are charging me this as the car wheels had been damaged. I gave it back in the same condition they gave me. I didn’t take this car anywhere and just used to get home and back to the service centre and I can’t believe they took such a huge amount for no fault of mine. My serviced car had not even been cleaned properly. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
