Selecta Tyre

I received phone quotes for 3 tyres of a specific brand and size on a both a basic tyre only and a fully inclusive basis, ie fitting, balancing, valve, VAT, old tyre disposal, etc. (Many tyre places do not include these charges in their headline pricing.) However, when my female other half (not mechanically minded) rang a couple of days later to confirm they were in stock before driving there she was given a total price £20 higher, it being claimed that there were "extras" still not included in the quote given to me and also the £5 internet voucher would not be valid.

I usually prefer to use "independents"/small chains, since you usually get better prices and service, but this experience of Selecta Tyre to me seems consistent with sharp and discriminatory practices.
