My car broke down in Herne Hill and Rapid Recovery Repairs were the people my breakdown cover sent out. They came quickly but the guy said they wouldn't be able to fix the car by the roadside and they would have to take it in for repair. A few days later I called them to find out what the cost would be and they told me they had found a simple fault which could actually have been fixed by the roadside and therefore there would be no charge. I was impressed because they could have made up any number of fictitious faults and charged me 100s of pounds - or at the very least they could have charged me some money for the repair of the small fault they found - but they were completely decent and honest throughout. When I sent my boyfriend to collect the car for me they also took the trouble to call me to check it was ok to give it to him.
