Avoid Like The Plague!!!
As a woman on my own, as usual I had to trust a garage which was for a simple full service but was told my rear brake pads and discs needed replacing so left them to it. I have a had a squeeking noise from right side for a while and then grinding noises last week to be told by another garage caliper seized and to take back to Lota garage as this should have been picked up by them and looks like the right brakes have not been done, they deny only putting one set in as they don't do that?? and as far as i know they come in sets anyway, but lo and behold they only replaced one side and caliper. Please please please, if you use this garage check both sides of your brakes as someone must be driving around with only one new and one old as they seem to only buy in singles (Mr Lota told me they can)??? Very arrogant and sarcastic as when i asked for the old discs and pads i was told they had hundreds there if i wanted them too!! Also I never got the old pads either so must be hiding something.
By the way... I have photo evidence of both sides and will be talking to trading standards.

Its a shame that you have given us a bad review. Your vehicle was serviced and the rear brake discs and brake pads replaced in June 2016. You were advice about the brake caliper and brake fluid change. You came back in January 2017 saying that another garage said that 1 brake caliper was sized. So we offered to change that brake caliper and as courtesy change the disc and pads.
The work was carried out and done. You asked for the disc back which we gave you. If you would like to take it to trading stands feel free. We have nothing to hide.

Shady, Incompetent
Took forever to diagnose issue, turned out to be what I had already told them it was.
Car returned running rough. Air hose found not connected correctly behind engine by someone else afterwards.
Car returned with wiper blade swapped for old rusty one that wouldn't clear the window. Obvious considering the ones it went in with were a brand new pair from MOT month before.
World never use again.

Wow what a great service for my BMW 520d m sport. These guys know what they're doing! Found a few things the dealership didn't spot and corrected them immediately and at no extra cost to the original quote! A real delight to meet you all, you really are a warm and friendly bunch. Sorted everything out from the washers to the electrics and didn't take forever to do it either. A very happy customer and will be more than happy to return.

These guys just made me now 100% sure I wont be their customer again. I had to do MOT quickly for my BMW 523 and all respectable garages nearby were full, so I turned to Lota for quick check - I knew I will fail on tyres anyway.
As a result apart from tyres they charged me £60 (£50 work + VAT) to tighten the handbrake and £48 (£40+VAT)!!! (for the pair of front wipers, which were probably used). I mean brand new BOSCH wipers probably cost less (£23 for a set on internet actually)!
I've been in this garage couple of times before and every time I feel like they want to overcharge you on every nonsense. No more Lota garage for me, thanks.
Go to Halfords really (my normal destination), at least you know what you are paying for!
What makes you think the wipers were second hand? Mine were changed and were brand new and boxed.
You can't complain about the cost of labour these days that's about the going rate in all garages. This review sounds harsh, they are a family business and it sounds like you were in a rush anyway.

Don't Go Unless You Want To Damage You Are Car And More!!!
I take my Audi a3 to chane the engine oil. I purchase my own engine oil and oil filter so I wanted to use the best one as I can.
They drain the oil out and they don't even flush out the old oil. They just put in a new engine that cost me 44 pound for a 4ltr after they put it in they give me a car. The owner son told me to put more oil in. so I drive back home and was going to buy more oil. I checked first. They over fill the engine oil OVER the Maxinum mark. I phone them up and they told me to bring a car back. 30 miles drive back W.T.F!. This people a mechanic don't know jack if I have a pump jack I would do it my self or just take my car to Audi dealer. Coz guest what they charge me 40 pound for messing up my car.
Secondly 'mate', I would take great care how you respond to customers as your comments come across as being condescending and less than helpful -
Are you sure that you're a mechanic because from reading the other comments about your garage, it would appear that 'mechanics' at your outfit need more training. There is a book in the trade that lists all the typical jobs and the approx. labour time to complete. Are you sure you are following the recommended repair as stipulated in this book?

First of all mate I know who you are your not a mechanic. If you go to the Audi garage they are not going to flush your PD engine and they charge 110 every hour. And next time you do it. Don't start writing comments online that are not true. Get your facts right. Mr Lota
