wife's car went in overheating, they changed the heater control valve, charged me £192 for a £30part which I could have fitted myself in 20mins.

Did not cure the problem, then told me it was head gasket!

The 'mechanic' said he could prove this, he showed me the expansion tank was pressurising when hot! Who'd have thought that when water gets hot it expands? He said this proved the head gasket had gone! Laughed in his face and took to a local garage wh changed the thermostat and charged me £60, all fine now.

Kwickfit fit are a joke!

I booked in to the Newton Abbot Kwik-Fit when I used to share the car with my Mum for an MOT by booking through their online site. This was confirmed a day earlier with their receptionist by phone.

Upon arriving we were told that no such MOT booking existed and that we would have to find one elsewhere as they were all booked up for the near future. Upon questioning this they became very argumentative and dismissive of their practices so we sought an MOT across the road. This wouldn't put me off saying to people to "give them a try" but I wouldn't try them myself again, as it was far too much hassle the first time.

I have a Citroen C2 VTS on an O7 plate. Over a peroid of two weeks my rear drivers side tire kept on going flat. I did not think nothing of this and I just popped to Tesco filling station near where I live to fill them back up to 2.4 bar, Citroens recomended tire pressure. This morning I talked to my dad at work, and told him about the tire, we both went out side and discovered that there was a nail in the tire. He said take the car and go down to Kwick Fit and ask them to put a new tire on, and if they do not have the tire in stock then ask them to order it for you.

What I was displeases with was the way which the members of staff talked to me. They did not make me feel welcome, and when I asked questions they were reluctant to explain to me, just walking off.
