Complete Cowboys....do Not Be Tempted By Cheap Mot
Complete cowboys....DO NOT BE TEMPTED BY CHEAP MOT FLYER. I took my car for it's mot and right from the start I did not feel assured by the level of service. I was also unaware that they took the cars elswhere to do the mot's! I only found this out when I was walking back to the garage and my car drove past! It was then left on the street unlocked. It only needed a new tyre to pass the mot however I had to pay in cash. When I got home, I noticed that the tyre had a split in it - I called the garage the nest day and was told that it must have been my own fault as the car had never left the garage.....I then mentioned the fact I had seen my car drive past as I went to pick it up. I also complained that I had been charged £85 for a tyre that was a budget one - again I felt ripped off as when they phoned to say I needed a tyre and quoted me a price, they said it would be a branded tyre. Anyway, I argued with them and they agreed to change the tyre that they had damaged. I thought that this was the end of the matter and told myself NEVER go there again. Around 10 months later I had to get a new tyre fitted.....when the fitter was checking my other tyres, he came in to tell me that the one fitted on the front right, the one supplied and fitted by cowboy coachworks, was a different size...too big and was dangerous to have ont the car. I had travelled many miles with the car in this state however it would have been too hard to try and get enough evidence against the garage to take things any further. All I can say is please don't take the risk in using this cowboy set up.

Complete Cowboys. Their Garage And Offices Are A
Complete cowboys. Their garage and offices are a complete mess. I informed them I couldn't pick up my car until after 5pm and the guy in the morning said that was OK. I finished work to find several voicemails demanding that I come and pick me up now (this was throughout the day). I handed them the £50 I owed them for the MOT. They then demanded £10 an hour 'parking tax' for the time I left the car. I said something about not having the extra cash I pulled out my pocket full of change to prove it. He then took the cash right from my hand. I was so bewildered I just left the garage dazed and just wanting to get the hell out of there. AVOID.
I Put My Car In Citi Coachworks For Its Mot And Un
I put my car in Citi Coachworks for its mot and unsurprisingly it failed. The garage quoted me £320 plus VAT which I paid but had to return 2 days after I originally went in as he would only accept cash. After paying I went to pick to the car up to find it was on the street unlocked and had a dent in the drivers side wing. On my next trip to fill up with petrol I noticed the petrol filler cap was missing and so returned to the garage to get it. They couldn't find it and told me to return the following day. I returned but still no cap. This went on for 3 weeks, on many occasions they told me theyd supply a new one but they failed on this. I ended up having to get one direct from Honda and going back 2 further times to the garage to get the money returned to me. I was glad that to get the money back so I would never have to deal with them again but then last week I got a letter from council parking services saying that I had an unpaid parking ticket. Yes, it was from when the garage had my car. The ticket was from out side their garage and now I have to go back to them again to argue about money they owe me.
I found this review very helpful because...I have had a similar bad experience with this garage and can understand steeble's frustration.
I would not go back to this garage in a million years. My car only needed a tyre for its MOT which I thought was great news. However, after paying cash, as requested, I noticed when I got home that the tyre had a split on the side...I live close by and had not hit any kerbs etc. I then done some research and phoned a tyre supplier and asked for a quote for the same make of tyre fitted on my car and was told app £40 fitted.....citicoachworks had charged me £95! When I went back to the garage to complain about the split, I was told that that could not have happened as the car had never left the garage. I knew this was a lie as when I went to collect my car after its MOT it drove past me! After saying this and also complaining about being overpriced, they agreed to fit a new tyre. At this point I thought all was sorted..until...10 months later when I put my car into another garage for a service and new brakes. The mechanic asked where I had got the aforsaid tyre...I explained the story and was then told that the tyre was a different size to all of the others and was too big for the rim and dangerous to drive on...and would have been an MOT failure - and also that any experienced tyre fitter would have known this at the time of fitting. He showed me the inside of the tyre on the wheel rim, and even to the untrained eye it looked too big! I have now had to buy another new tyre to match the rest and am furious at citicoachworks putting my own, and others, lives at risk.....I have clocked a fair few miles on this tyre, many times with a full car and on twisty 'b' roads. It was also not made clear to me that my car would be taken away from the garage to do the MOT and was also sitting on the road outside and unlocked when I arrived to collect it. Apologies for the ramble however If you are thinking about going to this garage for a cheap MOT I would seriously think again.
