I Brought My Car To Automotive Solution For A New
I brought my car to Automotive Solution for a new WoF (Warrant of Fitness), which is required twice a year by NZ law. I cancelled the WoF because I needed my car back (because I'm selling it & people wanted to see it) and the mechanics had only worked on the headlight during the 7 days it was in the workshop. The mechanics broke the window of my car and pretended that they didn't know about it. They left the broken window as it was when I picked it up, and said they didn't know when I came back to demanded that they fix it, which they eventually did. All the people that I spoke with at Automotive Solution had replied: 'What's the problem? He fixed it, didn't he?' They also lost some rubber valves from my car near the upper part of the accelerator and the brake pedals. I had to chase them up to get that fixed also. I took my car to VTNZ for a new WoF. My car's headlight didn't pass the WoF test due to the unaligned headlight, even though I paid $330 for the headlight job at Automotive Solution 5 days ago. I have found the staff at Automotive Solution to be incompetent; nonetheless, their business is fairly thriving. They work extremely slow, are not willing to admit their faults but only try to cover the mistakes of their mechanics, and cast doubts on their customers' grievances. This has wasted much of my time and money, and damaged my car. The fact that the headlight that I paid to get fixed, did not pass the WoF test, was a real surprise for me, because Automotive Solution does WoF tests as well. I do not think that these people are qualified to provide the service of maintaining/repairing cars and needless to say, perform WoF tests.
I went to another mechanic. The rust repair "which was estimated as $200-300 and would have taken another couple of days at Automotive Solutions Anzac Ave "was only $70, and took merely a couple of hours! After the rust repair, the mechanic took my car to VTNZ for a re-inspection today. My car did not pass the WoF test because of the unaligned headlight, again, and I so drove back to Automotive Solutions Anzac Ave for the repair once more.
