I wouldn’t bother spending the extra money buying from this company - they just wangle out of everything, have no interest in customer service ask loaded questions to ensure you the customer are ripped off every way - by the higher cost of purchasing from them over the competition, and then they don’t honour warranties and wangle out of everything quite legitimately. Then you realise any warranty etc is not worth re paper it’s written on, terrible company, might as well just buy cheaper from online.

I purchased a Silverline 2kW Inverter - £158 from midsummerenergy. I tried it, no problem, warning light came on when battery power became low, packed it up and put it away for winter. When I got it out ready for use in the event of a power cut, usual for here, the waning light was still on when I connected it up, no power.

We contacted them, told them we did not want to send it to Silverline, I purchased it from Midsommer, my contract is with Midsommer and I wanted to return it to them. He said he would email me with the address we should send it to and he would arrange for it to be picked up.

I've not been contacted, I've phoned repeatedly, he doesn't return my calls. It seems they don't agree with consumer law and believe they can end their responsibility with the sale and simply ignore their customers.

An inverter that cannot be relied on to work when you need it is not an inverter - it's a lump of metal.

A company that has no after sales care is a company to avoid. (and one that has £158 of my money, live and learn)
