Maplin Solar Powered 12V 1W Battery Charger

Cheapest in the Maplin range it can plug into lighter socket or includes clips for direct connection. In our case it was easy to clip the leads to the courtesy light after removing the bulb. Left the car at the airport for a two month jolly to New Zealand - on our return it started first time with no light dimming. Includes suction cups to stick to inside of windscreen. Well worth the £9 to avoid the queue for the jump starter at the long term car park!
