Halfords Bottle Jack

I bought a bottle jack from Halfords Totteham Hale. I noticed that the packaging was a bit taty but thought it might be through handling in transit to the shop. I purchased the jack and took it home and tried it out indoors first just to make sure it was working properly.I pumped it up using the correct lever and let in down just using the force of my arm it promtly started leaking oil all over my carpet and wouldnt stop.Its fortunate that I didnt use it to jack up my vehicle as it could have resulted in a bad accident.
