Horrendous
My partners automatic car got stuck in park mode and wouldn't move. We were stuck in the middle of a car park belonging to flats and were blocking other cars. We called priviledge at 16:56. An hour and a half later a man turned up in a van had a quick look and old us he couldn't do anything and we needed to be towed. He made a call and told them they would need sliders. After waiting another TWO hours a tow truck turned up... With no sliders... A further two hours later another tow truck arrived with sliders and towed us . So in total a 5.5hour wait. .. With our 3year old daughter. Please do not give this company your business.. Pay the extra to get a reputable breakdown coverage as if you find yourself broken down you will be wishing you spent that little extra and gave priviledge a wide berth. Will be taking this up as a formal complaint .

Waste Of Money
i have had rescue cover for over three years, never claimed before until
today.
my partner broke down, when i rang privelige they said sorry youre not
covered.
not a great service i think, be warned breakdown and rescue are not the
same thing, but they would be able to move the car to a garage for £108
pounds.
i dont think so.

It was the day before our wedding and our car (which we were going to use as our wedding car) broke down at the cattery where we were dropping our cat prior to wedding and honeymoon.
We ring the Privilege number who passed us on to their breakdown service. We had some months prior to this had a private registration number put on the car and received everything from Privilege to say this had been updated. However, as they hadn't passed the new number onto their breakdown service they flatly refused to come out, they even told us they could tell the make model and colour of the car that needed recovery but still refused to come out.
After the wedding we complained to Privilege and cancelled the policy. We feel they couldn't have cared less if they tried.
We experienced a really bad service and will avoid at all costs and that's my advice to other too.

I Broke Down On The A40. I Called Privilege Rescue
I broke down on the A40. I called Privilege Rescue, needed me to provide the correct address to confirm my breakdown Cover membership. They had the wrong address, even though on the certificate it clearly shows the address I gave them. So this goes on for ten minutes, while I try to work out the address they have. As I desperately try to work out where I am on the A40 (smoke is pouring from my engine at this point, it's the middle of the night and I have a female passenger who is freezing, so I'm understandably stressed) I get no sympathy from the woman taking my call, who is rude. They arrive after an hour and a half (they said within the hour). Then it turns out I'm only getting 10 miles recovery and I have to pay for the extra 9 miles to my house, plus the 40 miles from their base and back. This comes to about £70 extra! Not only this, but we have to wait while the useless call staff first tell me to make pointless calls to clarify my address and secondly while they process my debit card.
Altogether, probably one of the worst recovery services I have ever experienced.
