Charnock Richard Services, between J27 and J28, M6 has exc ellent food reasonable prices. I would go back again. Staff could be more helpful.

My wife pulled in and filled her car with 17 worth of diesel and she paid cash in the store kiosk a 10 note, a five pound note and two single pound coins, she then left and as she was entering her vehicle some three or four minutes later she was accosted by this person who accused her of underpayment. This person then coerced her with some intimidation to return to the store kiosk where they presented her with a 10 note, a five pound note and two pence coins and refused to let her leave until she had coughed up another two pound coins. She paid up because of the intimidating treatment, she may be a senior citizen but is certainly not dopey where money is concerned! Be warned, we will be writing to higher authority on this matter. Clearly, it does not take the person at the till 3 or 4 minutes to ascertain whether they have been underpaid. Too neat by far? Be warned!

Even with the Peter Kay thing, Charnock Richard Services are very drab.
