How can anyone give a five star rating to any motorway service station in respect of 'Value for Money' is beyond me. I find all motorway service stations an absolute 'Rip Off'. It breaks my heart to go into one simply to obtain a cup of tea or even worse, a coffee. Even the machines charge you as much as £3.00 . and more sometimes I think it is disgusting and should not be allowed to get away with it.

Their excuse is that they have to pay to bring their staff into work, and likewise get them home again by taxi at the end of their shifts Notwithstanding this, they still take advantage of the motorist, who simply can not divert from the motorway they are travelling on at a distance from 'A' to 'B'. Highway code suggests if you are feeling tired whilst driving, pull in off the road, have a rest and drink a coffee. It's an expensive short break if there are four of you in the car. £12/£13 straight away just to wet your lips; and as for something to eat, well say no more. You'll need a bank overdraft if the four of you just settle for a basic sausage, egg and chips, and afterwards vomit at the total price it has just cost you.

These motorway service stations should be regulated by the government. For heaven sake, What are you getting for £3.00 and more sometimes......a tea bag, hot water, a dash of milk, and for some, a spoonful of sugar. It's disgraceful.
