Good...so Far
The Swift Moselle 2016 is well laid out and this being our second year of ownership we have had no significant problems.
Before ours was built we asked Swift to include the fire from a different model, as we preferred it. A small piece of compromise to customers who were spending the thick end of 40 grand would surely be no trouble? They turned us down flat, saying they'd 'have to make a back board to fit'. So what?!!
On delivery there were one or two issues but these were mostly down to the Caravan company who sited it for us. (oven door smashed in transit, failed to put a trap on the dishwasher waste). One thing I did notice was that there was a theme of things not being properly tightened at the factory. The toilet seats were loose, the spade connectors into several striplights weren't pushed home fully, the waste pipes under the sink and basins weren't hand tightened, there were screws in door hinges not screwed fully in in every room. It wasn't much of a hardship to do this myself but it does speak of the lack of care and quality control at the factory.
We chose to have 2 bedrooms and no bath, as that configuration gives you a king-size bed - a must for us. An extra bedroom and a bath are less important.
We also chose the more expensive stainproof settees. I'd advise strongly against doing this - whilst the standard upholstery was soft and comfortable at the show caravan, the stainguard ones we got, for whatever reason, are hard and very uncomfortable.
The heating is excellent - on entering a clay cold van and putting the heating on, it's toasty after ten minutes. We seldom use the fire. The insulation appears excellent too, as after turning the heating off it retains the warmth for hours. Running costs are good - the LED lighting and low energy fittings make the electricity economy a vast improvement on our old van, and a gas cylinder lasts for ages.
The shower is lovely, although one slight grumble is the difficult-to-clean grime traps along the bottom of the door.
Dummy curtains are fitted on the living room windows and patio doors. Although there are vertical blinds, we wanted to be able to draw curtains across the patio doors and liked the design, so tried hard to get Swift to either get us some full size ones or provide the name of the company they buy them from. (You have to go through the dealer as Swift simply will not speak to the end user). Nothing doing. You begin to see how customer relations mean nothing to Swift - I sincerely hope the van doesn't develop any leaks or other faults in the coming years, as I can't see there being any aftersales support whatsoever - they weren't interested in us BEFORE they had our money, so we have no chance now!
Luckily the dealer. Kendal Caravans, are quite the opposite and are very helpful, so all is not lost in our case.
In summary, we seem to have got a great caravan which suits our needs very well and looks great on the site - it still smells and looks brand new, we have no known problems and visitors always say how lovely it is when they come in. I'll come back in a couple of years and tell you how it ages.

Nice Idea But Shoddy Workmanship
We have had this static for nearly a year now and upgraded from a cheaper van from Willerby. The inside has given us very few problems, but bad workmanship like the fire not being aligned properly, bubbling in the worktop joint and the cupboard shelf above the bed sloping downwards are a few of several annoying problems. However, they are pretty insignificant compared with the problems we have had outside. At the first sign of the sun the sides of the van buckled, and it wasn't that hot! As a result we have had more or less the outside of the van repanelled. The site we are on were very good and organised Swift to sort it out pretty promptly, but an apology would have been nice for putting the wrong guage metal on in the first place. Just arrived to open my van for the new season to find the chassis incredibly rusted for it's age. I'm not holding my breath!
I think you are giving this 2 stars to many I bought mine new on march 2014 and I have had 42 faults to contend with in the first 2 months! unfortunately my site is very slow getting things done(its the same old story after they sell you a caravan you are forgotten about) I had to threaten swift with watchdog before they moved swiftly to get things moving! I still have problems with the seating over the pull out bed all the cushions sag because they have no support I am still waiting for their rep to come have a look and fix this problem and as like you after our first winter I now am finding rust all over the chasse! if I could turn back time I would never buy another swift!!!!!
