Excellent Suv/van - Only Drawback Is Gas Mileage -
EXCELLENT suv/van - ONLY drawback is gas mileage - currently I only get about 19 MPG. I have 168000 miles on my V6 All Sport 4WD & only prob is that I've recently had to replace a broken timing belt b/c tensioner pully went bad - nothing unusual for such high miles! My 2 boys love the individual seats in the second row- I love the space, versatility, and how its so easy to see out of when driving (no major blind spots). Great for camping, road trips, rainy/snowy weather,etc...

We Bought Our New Mazda Mpv In 2005 And Now Have 2
We bought our new Mazda MPV in 2005 and now have 29,000 on it. We have not had ANY trouble with it at all. Not sure of the ciyt mileage but we did get 25 mpg on our last trip.
The LX is the base model, not much extra on it but the price was right and it has held up well for us. With a shrinking family now...we may sell it and get something that gets better mileage as we don't need the room anymore.

I Purchased A 2000 Mazda Mvp V6 Used In 2001 Becau
I purchased a 2000 Mazda MVP V6 used in 2001 because of my rapidly expanding family and trusted the quality of Mazda because of another vehicle of theirs I owned (1993 Prot g one major problem in nine years). Generally speaking, the mechanicals of the van are exceptional and it has performed well in the six years I have owned it. The reason for the low review is the corrosion issue that seems to plague this model from 2000 to 2004 so far. The corrosion is extensive for a vehicle this young. The first place I noticed it was on the hood where it has now perforated. Investigating the hood further revealed the entire front edge is corroding and the underside has a large piece missing. A seal is attached to the front edge, and because of corrosion it is no longer sealing water from entering the engine compartment; therefore, exposing electrical and other components to the damaging effects of water. The other places corrosion has shown up are the door edges (primarily at the bottom) but also around the windows, the rear lift hatch along the bottom edge and hydraulic pistons that hold the rear door open which can be a safety issue if the pistons fail, and in the rear wheel well area. I would caution anyone looking to purchase this van used to look in these areas for corrosion; if any corrosion is present move onto your next choice.

Mazda Mvp Is A Very Reliable Sturdy Mini Van Which
Mazda Mvp is a very reliable sturdy mini van which is built on an SUV frame. All of the back seats fold in or can be taken out to make lots of room almost as much as a pick up. A great looking van with the sporty touch to it won't disappoint you
