Would Not Advise Any One To Buy A Gmc Safari Mini
Would not advise any one to buy a GMC Safari mini van. I spent $5000.00 on this one in 2007 with 91,00 miles. All of this was for repairs except $600.00 for tires.

I spent about $15K on the van and have probably spent that on repair bills. NOTHING on this van is easy to fix and so many parts are expensive. They made this vehicle much more complicated than a van should ever be. It's a box with wheels. How hard is it? Avoid.

Poorly Made By Overpaid Slacker On Nights And No Q
Poorly made by overpaid slacker on nights and no quality control onsite apparently or they were asleep at the wheel.Never never never will buy another GM product and this was my fourth one along with a 1985 Olds Cutlass Supreme,1982 Pontiac Grand Prix and 1997 Chevy Silverado. The only thing I didn't have trouble with was the Olds.Nuff said?

Would Not Recommend The Gmc Safari To Anyone. It
Would not recommend the GMC Safari to anyone. It is very comfortable but very unreliable. Nothing is easy to fix, not even replacing fuses. Electrical has been the pits, from lighting to door locks to power windows. The A/C Heater blower will not work and no one can find the problem. When the van works properly it is good but when it doesn't, it is never an easy task finding the problem.
Wow I agree, I have been looking for similar complaints, the electrical on mine is a joke, door locks lock and unlock on their own as you drive, power windows work sometimes, a/c thankfully was under warranty. the best is the AWD warning light it comes on yearly and the part is an actuator, its only $1000.00 every year to replace and GMC says oh well.
Sorry pal. You should have read my review before buying this lemon.I feel for you.

I Had The Gmc Safari Just Over Two Years And Was S
I had the GMC Safari just over two years and was so glad to get rid of it. I took half what I paid for it on a trade,$15,000. Very sad. I was treated so badly by GMC and the dealer I bought my first ever import at the age of 45 and 11 domestic cars.
I have a 1997 GMC Safari and it is the worst piece of rubbish that I have ever owned. I bought it for $2500 with 22,6000kms and have now spent over $8000 on repairs and can't afford to get rid of it. I only put 37000kms (20000 miles) on it, and I will not take it out of town. I have replaced the alternator, water pump, power steering pump/brake booster, universal joints, all four shocks, ignition switch, stereo, wiper motor, motor mounts, the plugs, wires and cap/rotor were just about impossible, coil, and the brakes on all four wheels.

This 1999 Gmc Safari Van That I Purchased New Has
This 1999 GMC safari van that I purchased new has been nothing but a disapointment. I have a thick file on all the repairs that were made. Currently the van has 56000 miles on it,and I am sure glad I purchased the extented warranty.I'v tryed talking to GM about it,but they claim they can't do anything about it. Their answer was, some of our vehicles don't come out perfect.I bought this new with 76 miles on it. The first week I had it it broke down on the freeway going to work. Two weeks later it broke down again going to work. Every since then it has been breaking down on me. Last week it broke down when I was on vacation. So far I have had to replace the coil, coil wire,AC compessor twice, door switch, valve body on the transmision, trottle body, axle bearings ring and pinion, pinion bearing, headlight relay,3rd brake light, 3 seat belts, and everytime it breaks down I have to get it towed, and rent a car, and miss time from work.
I agree with this review because...I owned one and can agree with the poor quality. No wonder GM is in trouble with sales. They don't stand behind their products.
The GMC vans ( 90's) are junk!!!

I disagree with this review because...he is only trying to get rid of it , so he builds it up.Review ALL the reports on this piece of just GMC van.
Please be honest.Don't try to build these pieces of rubbish up just to sell your's.
