This Car Is Suprisingly Quick. It Feels Very Well
This car is suprisingly quick. It feels very well made, even though the interior is really tacky, but it is meant to be as it saves weight, so dont buy this car for comfort and luxuries because there is'nt any.
I bought the car because i loved the fact that the engine was very revvy and it handled well. I kind of got sucked into this v-tech thing everyone goes on about like it's some kind of star trek thruster lol. I mean it is quick but you basically have to get way too high in the rev range when the vvt kicks in, by then you have broken the speed limit, done all your oil and petrol.
This is definately a car for a boy/girl racer who loves to thrash the pants out of a car. However, i didnt own the car for long as i got bored of it if i'm honest. Dont get me wrong, it's a very good car, but it's like a hyped up film everyone goes on about that turns out to be a bit of a let down. I do apologise if i have burst peoples bubbles about this car but it is just my opinion.
I am currently owning a focus ST170 which performs just as good, it's not as quick in a straight line but almost as, plus it seems to handle better and the cabin is a much nicer place to be and it's a cheaper alternative.
The civic was reliable in the time i owned it, always started well, being a honda it will never break down either, but parts are expensive as is the servicing.
So if you want a car that loves to be thrashed and handles very well and drinks petrol then get this, it's a great toy.

Summary For Honda Civic 2.0i Vtec: I've Driven Thi
Summary for Honda Civic 2.0i VTEC:
I've driven this car and its a delight! The dual climate control is such a snazzy gimmick! Plus the leather steering etc - they all make the interior of this car fantastic.
As for how well its drives - I'd say very good. Not the best but its still super quick and yet comfortable at the same time. Nippon car parts think its ok, they don't seem too enthused over it though! I'd say 8/10 any day for this beauty!

I Have Been After A Type R For Ages. I Have Had It
I have been after a type R for ages. I have had it for over one month now and my jaw is still sore from grinning so much. It is a brilliant car. It feels pokey enough much like a normal 2L engine. Unleash the V-tec and all hell breaks loose. the sound is amazing and very addictive. The car has a great look to it and a very nice interior. The gearstick position is perfect.
The turning circle is not the best and the steering wheel gets in the way of seeing the top of the speedo. I love this car and think that it represents good value for money given the performance and high reliability.
there is a small pully/leaver thing by your left knee as u sit in the driving position. pull that (while your not driving!!! lol) and you can adjust the hight/position of the steering wheel! hey presto

I Owned A Honda Civic 2.0 Type R For A Year And Ha
I owned a Honda Civic 2.0 Type R for a year and had great fun driving it - it always started in the morning, was very reliable and the best thing was when the V-tech powers up and the car comes alive. I would recommend this car to anyone - I am just about to buy another one as they are that good.

We Bought This Car After Being Taken For A Spin In
We bought this car after being taken for a spin in our neighbours and we couldn't believe how crazily fast it was. After taking it for a test drive ourselves, we knew it had to be. It is a very comfortable drive given it's low, firm suspension, and handles very well through corners. The gear stick is mounted on the dash, which enables you to rapidly change when accelerating. The VTech kicks in at 6000rpm, as long as the engine is warm. The front seats are very comfortable - we drove around Europe in ours and there were no numb bums at all.
Can't wait to test drive the new model out next month... don't know how it can beat this model though.

Had My Ctr For 2 Months And I Have To Say This Is
Had my CTR for 2 months and I have to say this is the best car I have ever driven. The speed on this is fantastic and leaves a lot of other cars for dead. This car is brilliant in the vtec zone 0-60 time is 6.6 but I'm sure I have done this a lot quicker. Bad point is the wheel arches. I set off fast at a junction as there was a 1.8 Corsa wanting to test me. The wheels spun and the Corsa was a dot in my mirror. Upon getting home and out of the car, however, I noticed that the wheel arch was snapped and was then rubbing on the tyre - this cost me 200 to get fixed. Anyone thinking of getting one then don't think twice - get one. The ammount of fun you have in this is great and 2 months on I am still not in the slightest bored or disappointed in the car.

Overall I Really Like The Honda Civic 2.0 Type R,
Overall I really like the Honda Civic 2.0 Type R, it looks great and the value for money can't be beat. At 6,000 revs the V-TEC kicks in and the Type-R really shows what it can do, it is just a shame you have to get to 6,000 revs before that kicks in.
The gear stick, which I thought I wouldn't like, I now love. The position is perfect for quick gear changes and means you can keep both hands on the wheel a lot more of the time. The handling is good but you will have to treat it smoothly at speed as there are no driver aids, but this would appeal to purists who enjoy taking total control of a car.
In summary, for under £20,000 new, it is unlikely you will find a car that betters the Type-R in terms of looks or performance.

I Love My Civic Type-r More Than Any Car Previousl
I love my Civic Type-R more than any car previously owned! It looks incredible, is faster than most and has been my dream car for a long time. Once you reach 7000 revs, you, as the driver are forced back into your seat as your car propells forwards. The gear stick is positioned very closely to the steering wheel for quick, smooth gear changing and the racing seats keep you firmly in position.
One problem I do find is pulling out quickly from standing position without wheel-spinning when it's wet. It has so much torque that sometimes trying to escape the 'boy-racer' stereotype is difficult when you're unable to maintain grip! It can also be very easy to then wheel spin in second in the same conditions. In dry weather however, the car speaks for itself - especially around corners where the handling is totally awesome.
I would recommend this car to anyone who simply enjoys driving.
I know your told in all of your driving lessons use first to get the car moving, but because the engine is so powerful and the car is relatively light try getting the car rolling in second, ok you don't get as much of a kick but it prob wont wheel spin!

I Have Owned My Honda Civic Type-r Since New(04) T
I have owned my Honda Civic Type-R since new(04) The first time you experience the V-tec surge you become totally hooked. The interior is basic, but looks good and the racing seats are perfect for when you are throwing it around country lanes. My only problem with the car and it is so bad that I hate driving it in the wet is its handling(in the wet). It is virtually impossible to get any power down if it is even slightly wet and it understears at embarassingly slow speeds. I would not even expect to pull away from a 1.4. However, as soon as the sun comes out and the roads are dry this car is astonishing and will easily put a smile on your face no matter how long you have owned it!
