I Own A 1989 T-bird Sc....manual Transmission...fu
I own a 1989 T-Bird SC....manual transmission...fully loaded. My wife can't drive a manual, and we have two kids....so I drive a new F150 and my wife drives an Explorer.
I don't have much room for the car....but, I love it so much, I can't bring myself to get rid of it!
It's an awesome car...the ride...the way it handles....the power...it's one of the best cars ever made.
When I see one driving down the road...I still say "Wow...what a great looking car!" How many other cars from the late 80's / early 90's can you say that about? Not many. I have over 150K on it, and still have the original clutch! That car has been super reliable - in view of the fact it was a very early production '89 (first model year for the car). So much for domestics being junk....how many '89 Accords and Camry's are still on the road.
...and, I made this car dance! I didn't drive it like a Grandma.

I have owned almost 20 different cars. This one is by far my favourite. Everything about this car I love, I drive it everyday. I actually have 4 Ford Thunderbird SC's, one has 215k miles, all original still runs like it was brand new. Highly recommended.

I Paid 300 Dollars For The Ford Thunderbird Superc
I paid 300 dollars for the Ford Thunderbird Supercoupe it six years ago. No major problems. I've driven it 70,000 miles and now it has over 200,000 miles total (all original). I just replace any normal worn out minor parts, change oil every 5,000 miles and plugs every two years. Nothing fancy, generic 10w-30 (year-round) and generic filters. Standard champion spark plugs.

I Have A 1989 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe And I A
I have a 1989 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe and I absolutely love it. It will beat almost anything on the street. With 210 horsepower and 315 Foot-lbs of torque from the factory, it's a monster. The supercharged V6 propels the car to well over 120 (thats what the speedo pegs at) I wouldn't trade my car for yours no matter what it is. I would recommend that everyone test drive one. They ride like a cadillac and move like a vette. Once you experience the power and luxury of these vehicles, you'll want one. I bought mine with a blown head gasket for $600. $300 dollars later I have my dream car. Even though it has a few flaws, it is still awesome. Theres only a couple of things I dislike about the car. For one, the transmission was made for a truck. The gears (on the manual transmission) are really far apart. After about 100,000 miles, you can pretty much expect the headgaskets to blow. These are very pricey to fix. (Around $1200) Another downfall to the car is that there isn't very much aftermarket support for it. For what is there, you have to pay an arm and a leg to obtain. For example...headers cost $700!!
Q&A
Just rebuilt the motor and on start up there is no oil pressure. Checked oil filter and no oil in it. What would cause this?
