Daihatsu Charade Detomaso

Great all round car, handles great stock race car handling with a few cheap mods. very fast on a tight windy track, not fast on a track with lots of straights. If you want comfort leave stock if you want to go fast here is a list of some easy/cheap mods.

Engine:

Intake system

Exhaust

gearbox

short shifter (you can modify the standard gear shift for shorter throws)

4.6 final drive (the Gti box has the 4.6 and will fit in the Detomaso box)

Suspension.

Uprated shocks

Lower springs (40mm is fine).

Poly bushes all round.

Front tower brace.

With this you will have a good track car to start with.
