This Is The Second Braun Scion Xb Rampvan I've Own
This is the second Braun Scion xB Rampvan I've owned. The first one was a 2005, and failed so many times in only a few months that Braun legally had to take it back under the Lemon Law. They weren't happy, but they gave me a new one, a 2006, that was allegedly COMPLETELY fixed, rebuilt, and without same safety concerns. Well, here it is, three years later, and I'm STILL having the same problems with the air suspension. The compressor that holds the car in ride-height keeps failing, and when that happens, the car abruptly bottoms out with the gas tank scraping on the ground. The ramp has broken off a couple of times, probably because it's held on with teeny tiny bolts. I don't ride in the car every day, so it isn't like we're putting a lot of stress on the mobility portion of the vehicle. I bought this car new, and it seemed like a great bargain at the time, but now the repairs to keep it functioning are costing more than the car is worth. I'm also constantly afraid for my husband's life, as well as my own, and the lives of others. For anyone that lives in an area that gets cold, I do NOT recommend the Scion xB Rampvan conversion from Braun. The compressor always seems to fail at least once a winter, and could lead to a crash, injuries, or possibly death. It is NOT a safe vehicle, in my opinion.
