Scenic 2.0l Auto Is An Ideal Touring Car For Empty
Scenic 2.0L auto is an ideal touring car for empty nesters. Adequate power, (which the old 1.6 did not have), good driving view, (even when driving on the continent) and great luggage accessability (even for a geriatric!)

The Renault Megane Scenic RT Auto 2L is not really big enough to be a people carrier. The Scenic is let down by its poor build quality. The upright seating position is a plus as far as space goes but this is very much at the cost of handling.
Cornering in a scenic is a very interesting experience.
The most that can be said for performance is that there isn't any. But then to be fair, most people that buy a scenic are not interested in performance. They would probably tut-tut under their breath if you start talking about top speed, 0-60's and BHP.
Tut tut. 0-60? I just set off before the boy racers, like a couple of minutes earlier and always get there first. Plus I save about 10000 quid.

having owned a scenic fuji 1.6 for a few months now i'm actually surprised at how well it performs. sure it's a family car, not a sports car but treat it right and it's a surprising car.
I also think it's extremly well equiped for the price and even now am still being surprised at the "little" touches renault have added.

What planet are you from ? the Scenic handles like it's on rails, the build quality is suberb, it has a respectable turn of speed (I drive the 1.9 diesel)and it stops on a sixpence(if you can remember those !!)The paint finish is exemplary as is the interior finish. I can only assume you must have driven much more expensive cars whose build quality you would expect to be perfect, so come on have another closer look at your scenic and don't forget what it cost and then you might realise it's not actually half bad.

The Renault Megane Scenic RT auto 2L is a good vehicle that is small but very suitable and safe for a family with a small budget. It does not have a lot of horsepower, but enough to meet the needs of a family's means of travel.

If You're Blessed With More Than One Child Or A Lo
If you're blessed with more than one child or a love of sporting activities that take up a lot of boot space then the Megane Scenic could be an option for you. 2 litre engine gives good performance and handling is OK although this will never pass for a sports car. Rear seats give adequate room for 3 adults and middle seat folds down as a table if required. Also all rear seats are removable giving the potential of a big boot space.
Elevated driving position provides good view of the road and all in all the vehicle appears much physically bigger than it really is.
Interior is very plastic but this fits well with the cars pratical image.
If you're after an MPV or large estate then it's well worth taking a look!
