Renault Espace RTX - D

The Espace has been a fantastic family car - incredibly flexible and amazingly low running costs. Diesel engines have come a log way in the last 5 years but don't forget who led the way: The French.

Aside from great economy and low running costs the body panels are plastic and makes corrosion a non issue. What about safety? Top of class NCAP = DUH. Check it out the Espace - it scores top.

Bad news: Really nothing worth mentioning. Any car has bad examples - I've had good bad and ugly mercedes, toyota and audi and bad luck affects us all. My 11 year old espace looks great and runs true and smooth-it goes through front and rear side lights a bit too regularly, don't know why but at 60p per bulb I can afford it!

My experience and that of my friends (betwen us we have had 5) is that the Espace is top class.
