A Great Design On Paper, But The Quality Of Build
A great design on paper, but the quality of build is poor. We have had no end of problems with the Fiat Multipla, the gear stick has come off. The door trims have come off. The driver seat does not adjust. The alarm has broken. The immobilizer was faulty and has been removed. The starter motor has been replaced twice and the car still has an unresolved starting problem. The hand brake cable seized and snapped. The passenger door handle is faulty. The rear doors creak loudly. Our clutch snapped. Various suspension problems (very costly) front middle seat broke. The list goes on... I do not recommend this car due to the above problems and more I am sure I have missed.

Very Disappointing In That This Fiat Multipla 1.9
Very disappointing in that this Fiat Multipla 1.9 JTD Eleganza is a perfectly good car of its type and which for my requirements 'pushed all the right buttons'. The failure to find the cause of the problem put me right off Fiat - what is the point of marketing something that you don't know how to fix when it goes wrong?
The dealer eventually agreed to a refund after 3 weeks of trying to get him to understand his obligations under the Sale of Goods Act - his initial stance was to hide behind Fiat when of course my contractual relationship was with him.
It would be unfair to suggest that there is a potential problem with all Multiplas - I may have simply had a 'rogue' car - but beware!
