Citroen Grand C4 Picasso 1.6HDi 16V VTR+

Second review on my 57 plate bought for £6800. This car is superb. Just done a weekend in Scarborough with my 4 kids, pushchair, luggage. In total six people & countless bags of stuff. Car performed effortlessly, these are great motorway cruisers, great for overtaking, powerful, great mpg & comfortable. The 1560cc diesel just buzzes away like a much bigger engine, this is a particularly superb diesel engine. Don't believe that it's underpowered or unrefined, try one, get it up to motorway speed on the motorway & see how it performs. Great cars, usually getting 50+ mpg. Try & buy but read more reviews, the manual is very nice to drive. Great car with a good spec, mines silver but seen top spec ones in White & they look particularly classy. VTR+ spec is great, not much more to add, road tax is £165 yearly.

Bought this car recently for £6800 on a 57 plate, FSH, 42000 miles, MOT & tax til March 2012, silver in colour. Well pleased with this car, the fuel economy is outstanding for a 7 seater, I'm constantly getting 53 mpg with mixed driving fast & town roads. The engine is a beauty with 110 bhp & masses of torque which makes overtaking even in 5th gear very easy. Mine is the manual version which are a little scarcer. Was not specifically after a manual just this one came up at the right £. Looked at lots & I certainly got the best at the best price possible. There is lots out there ex mobility & clearly not cared for with scratched interior plastics, rear bumpers etc... In silver they look particularly nice, nice spec vtr+ dark interior. Good stereo, lots of equipment as standard. Going to get a k & n panel filter soon for £33 from Demon Tweeks, not for performance but will not ever need to be replaced with million mile warranty & may see an improvement in mpg although this is already amazing. These cars are great motorway cruisers, you will be surprised at the power of the little 1560 cc diesel which pulls this car effortlessly (try one before you say it's too small). Very happy with this car, interior is a nice place to sit with huge windscreen, nice chrome trim etc & stylish French design touches. Boot is huge with fold flat two rear seats folded down which are very easy to get up & down. Interior has the odd squeak/rattle now & again. Going to do oil change soon using Total Quartz 9000 oil which has excellent reviews & on eBay is cheap (about £23 for 5L). There is some great features multi colour digital dash, fuel computer, elec windows x4, air con, cd, huge sun visors, rear blinds, the list goes on. Try one & buy the nicest you can especially if you have kids.
