Muitas Pessoas Tem Um Certo Preconceito Com Rela

I Have A 1990 Lumina Apv. Pretty Much The Base Mod

I have a 1990 Lumina APV. Pretty much the base model although it has the 6 passenger seating which is nice. After having it for 8 years , it now has a whopping 87.000 miles on it! The 3.1 hums right along although I did just have to have the intake manifold gasket replaced. I wasn't sure if I wanted to fix it but it has run so well that I went ahead anyway. If I can get another year out of it, I'll be happy.

Mileage isn't great with the 3 speed auto trans but I think I can squeeze 19 out of it around town.

Overall a great vehicle especially since it was the first year for it. Could use a little more juice under the hood but I'll live with what it has.

I Bought My 94 Lumina With 76,000 Km On It In 1997

I bought my 94 Lumina with 76,000 km on it in 1997 and the odometer now reads 370,000!!! It has had its share of problems over the years but what do you expect for a vehicle that has more than double its lifespan mileage on it. The biggest was a failure of the oil pump drive at 185,000 which resulted in the trashing of the engine. GM and I came to a satisfactory agreement as to a cost split on a brand new replacement engine and it has been trouble free to date. I am having a problem with the transmission lock up solonoid right now and will be attending to that shortly. Due to the great shape of my van I decided to spend some money on it over the past two years rather than trade it in. The devil you know versus the devil you don't! I have replaced the entire exhaust system, steering rack, wheel bearings, ball joints and battery over the past 16 months. Not unusual for a vehicle with this many miles on it.

We have a strict emissions test here and she has passed it with flying colours (better than some two year old vehicles with 20,000km on them I have been told) every time. I get 30mpg (imperial gallons) on the highway and that's good enough for me in a vehicle this roomy (must be those 'dustbuster' aerodynamics at work).

It may be the little 3.1 engine but has had no trouble towing a 21 foot speedboat and or ultralight aircraft on a trailer while hauling all five of us and our gear at the same time. With the middle or right seat in the centre row removed you can get to the two rear seats easily and still have a roomy six passenger van with room behind the rear row.

Overall I am very happy with the vehicle and hope to get a few more years out of it before it's time to say goodbye.

The Chevrolet Lumina Apv 3.1 V6 "dust Buster" Peop

The Chevrolet Lumina APV 3.1 V6 "Dust Buster" people Carrier is probably one of the worst vehicles I have ever been in. One must climb over the second row of seats to reach the back, and the engine noise level is very loud, even in the far-away rear row. The car wil not rust, however, thanks to some plastic body panels.

I have had a Lumina for 5 years now and as its falling apart. I am looking for another one it's a great car! Yeah, the engine's a bit noisy but with 4 kids in mine I tend not to hear it!! Turn the music up if its a prob, you don't have to climb over the middle seats to reach the back either, there's a small lever on the seat nearest to the door on the middle row this allows the chair to flip forward so that you can get into the rear seats.

The Chevrolet Lumina Is An Excellent Car! We Bough

The Chevrolet Lumina is an excellent car! We bought it new in 1992 and we've still got it. The only problem is getting it serviced by people that know about american cars and who don't pretend to or rip you off (Bauer Millett, Manchester and Rodley Motors that don't have a clue) In 1996 we bought a Ford Fiesta and yesterday the engine ceased up. Its rubbish, don't ever buy a Ford Fiesta! its had problems since the start. Since 1992 the chevy has had only a few thousand spent on maintance (new reverse gear after only a year!, alternator, radiator, ac) not bad for a car of near 12 years old. Also it has to be the best looking and comfiest car of its class! there you go, go and bye one.
