I Love This Nissan Almera 16v Car I Got The 1.8 Sp

I love this Nissan Almera 16v car i got the 1.8 sport, its verry fast, These nissans DO have problems how ever, The MAF sencor packs up every 20'd thousand miles. but there 36 new off ebay, the crank case sencors go for a passtime about every ten thousand miles. when there gone the car will act as if it has a turbo with lag upto 2500 /3000 rev's then go like the clappers, If thats happening Order a set of crankcase and crankshaft sencors bout 40 pound new, the one in the camshaft is easy the other ones a bit of a bugger, but can be done your self or by a garage and this will fix any problems other than that the cars grate :>

Its Brilliant And The Brakes Are Crisp And Sharp A

Its brilliant and the brakes are crisp and sharp as new (our Nissan Almera is 7 so...) Our Nissan is metalica green (which is a suprisingly nice colour, but i prefer the shiny black version) and is filled with funky little hidey holes and many sparkling lights!

i prefer my old car, our royal blue Skoda felicia, but a badger hit it and bye-bye 9 year old Skoda felicia!

My Nissan Almera Sport Is One Of The Worst Buys Ev

My Nissan Almera Sport is one of the worst buys ever. I used to have a 1996 Almera GTI and thought this would be a good buy but alas i was wrong. I had it for one year and has just cost me well in excess of 700 smackers to get MOT so can go to work.

Roll on Subaru!!!!!

Ive Had The Nissan Almera 1.8 Sport For Nearly Two

Ive had the Nissan Almera 1.8 sport for nearly two years. It has floated through two MOTs with virtually no problems and has never broken down (except when it ran out of petrol one day). This car is perfect for a family and for a person looking for something which is a bit sporty and most importantly reliable. I manage to squeeze 50 miles for ten pounds which for me is very expensive. On top of that theres the insurance and the road tax. Do i regret buying this car? The answer will always be no. Its hard to find something which is as reliable as this car. I paid 1500 for mine and it was in good condition. Based on that price and the fact that it has done 140000+ miles and still running says a lot about this car.

I Sold My 1.5 Nissan Almera And The Next Day Got A

I sold my 1.5 Nissan Almera and the next day got a nearly identical 1.8 sport.

Underrated and often overlooked because it's still wrongly considered a car for the older, more conservative driver. Some people think it looks a bit 'dull' (but it can be perked up a lot with some subtle modifications) If you can get past that you can get a great 2nd hand example for a good price if you shop around. Wonderful car for the price.

Ok I Have Not Had This Nissan Almera Sport 1.8 16v

Ok I have not had this Nissan Almera Sport 1.8 16v car for long but I think I can still give it a good honest review. My last car was a Nissan Sunny GTI [see review], which I loved, but I felt it was time to move on and get myself somthing more modern, and since I have grown to like nissans I went for another one, the one I went for was a y reg 2001 Almera 3dr sport with the 1.8 16v engine. My first impression was that it is not that sporty and maybe a little dull but it has grown on me so here is my review. From the outside the car does look quite sporty and well built, which it is, the surf line roof adds to the whole sporty look and it gets many good comments from men and women, there are some that still think the Almera is dull but the newer models from 2000 on are much better looking. The inside of the car is less sporty, a lot of this is because of the seats, they are well designed but don't fit the sport name as they are a little bit boring, they are not sports seats at all and they have a rubbish pattern and are to hard with no support, I think a good upgrade would be to fit the ones from the old Almera GTI [if they fit?] or some ones that would suit the sport name and image better. Other than the seats and the trim pattern of the interior, the rest of the inside is well thought out and well made, the use of rubbish plastic is bad but is not that noticeable as it is well designed and well built so it does not rattle and has a more quality feel, the dash also looks like somthing that you would find in a sports model and all of the cars functions are easy to use and never far away, Space in the front of the cabin is good but in the rear it is alittle cramped, better than alot of 3dr cars, the boot is a good size and has some good features like nets and anchor points. The driving experience is good, it has a good level of grip and even though the suspension is a little soft it still feels very sure and safe, the brakes are excellent and the ABS works very well, the hydraulic clutch works well but lacks feeling, the engine is not a performance motor, for a 1.8 16v it is not that fast, it does have a very good power band due to Nissans vvt system and is very good in the town or city but it feels a little slow on the open road, it can cruse at 100mph with no problem though, a good upgrade to free up some power is a cold air filter kit and an exhaust system as the standard ones are for very clean emissions and seem to choke power, other bolt on upgrades will also help but the cost will start to grow. So this is a good car altogether in standard form but it needs upgrading to become a great car.

Cheap upgrades would be, Air filter kit, exhaust system, better tyres and wheels, and a suspension upgrade to get rid of its soft ride, even just a cheap coil replacment that lowers the ride height and gives a slightly lower ride height will help, and it would look better, also it needs sports seats.
