I Love Our Sharan. The Best Car Ive Ever Had. Mind

I love our Sharan. The best car Ive ever had. Mind you the last one we had was a Renault so any old banger would be better than that one :-)

Very practical for the family plenty of space.

We have done about 10,000 miles a year and so fa (touch wood) it has not let us down. This is very important to me as I certainly cannot fix it if it did conk out.

I would always get the diesel not the petrol version as its meant to last longer.

I Bought This Car From Vw Franchise Dealer In Loug

I bought this car from vw franchise dealer in loughboro(work it out), expecting the car to be in very good condition. It wasnt - dealer said the service records had been lost, lol. Air con stopped working after 2 weeks and cost >£1000 to repair which the dealer finally agreed to pay for after lots of hassle. Turbo never worked properly and eventually had to be replaced at my expense >£1000. Numerous other minor interior bits have fallen off. Overall am very disappointed with the car and the dealer who sold it to me, i am suspicious that they knew the condition of the car and just wanted to get rid of. Moral of the story - get the car independently checked and insist on full service history before buying even from vw dealers - I certainly will

I Bought A 2001 Vw Sharan "se" Model 7 Months Ago

I bought a 2001 VW Sharan "SE" model 7 months ago in a hurry as my parents were coming over from overseas although I love the car but now no one wants it I have put it up for sale several time in several places...

Overall I think is a good car and worth paying for but HEY! Don't be like me and buy it £3000 more expensive just because of low milage because even if its over 100.000 miles it is still like new if cared for!

Satisfied To Have Bought It. Not The Most Reliable

Satisfied to have bought it. Not the most reliable of vehicles but good to drive and quite comfortable. Quickly goes through tyres and brakes. Good points are the space, driving position, visibility and flexibility. Bad points are the quality of the trim, the reliability of the electronics and the coil engine management system.

This Volkswagen Sharan Family Car Is Comfortable A

This Volkswagen Sharan family car is comfortable and good to drive and is fundamentally good at the job most people buy it for - transporting their family and stuff. The design does very well on the big requirements of comfort and safety and space availability but there are certainly some niggling design defects, particularly with respects to the interior trim. More seriously, the reliability of components and the build quality are certainly not up to VW's much vaunted reputation and the fuel consumption is not good, so it can be an expensive option if you buy a bad one.

Would I buy another one? Yes, and I am currently thinking of getting a new one as I have yet to find a better overall ride at a sensible cost. I suggest either buying a new deisel one to rely upon the warranty or a cheap secondhand one which has been well looked after, has a full service history available and KEEP THE WARRANTY RUNNING. I hear that the newer ones have a better reliability than my machine and overall, it has not been bad compared with most alternatives, (except perhaps the Honda and Toyota MPV's). If you are buying on a budget and have a young family, I suggest getting one that has already had six bells knocked out of the interior as it will soon go that way and you may as well get a cheaper purchase price. Concentrate on getting the service history and the machine in general checked out by an expert.

In short, a good one is well worth having but a bad one could cost you a small fortune.

Ive Had A Tdii Sharan For 5 Years And 100000 Miles

Ive had a TDII Sharan for 5 years and 100000 miles and its been very economical throughout. I am so happy with it Im about to buy another. The only problem was a sensor in the engine which was not particularly expensive once the dealer found out what was wrong. All in all a brilliant car
