The car is a Golf 5 1.9Td Plus (Luna spec)

Nice car, just a little dull. Fabulous fuel millage. Car feels more at home on the motorway than in town, it tries to iron out the bumps in the road rather than ride over them.

I think its clear to see that VW have tried to cut costs in some areas.

Let down by stuffy, poor, and rude main agent who have to have several attempts to solve every issue, and in doing so create problems themselves.

I Really Like This Car It Is Very Smooth To Drive

I really like this car it is very smooth to drive and very economical.

Haven't had to put any diesel in at all for the last few weeks!

Will see how the service goes fingers crossed this will feel like it is going to last aslong as it feels it is going to.

A nice motor.

Based on 52 Plate 1.9 TDI 110bhp.

This Is Our 3rd Vw Golf But Extremely Disappointin

This is our 3rd VW Golf but extremely disappointing: doors nver shut first time, layout of internal fixtures very poor and not properly thought through. Inadequate glove compartment, braking efficient but has to be done with care to avoid engine juddering. Seems down-graded from our previous similar model and will be exchanged for another make as soon as we can afford.

This Is The Second Golf We Have Had. Our Son Now H

This is the second Golf we have had. Our son now has the previous one. No problems to report. The Mk5 style is now growing on me and the 105BHP Tdi engine is proving to be quite adequate and as expected, quite economical. Although pricey compared to competitors you do need to have something to compare to properly appreciate the Golf. It's a good car and why I bought a new one. The VW dealers are another question as they vary in my experience from OK to downright poor and they are expensive so that's why I get it serviced elsewhere with no problem. The new Mk5 doesnt seem quite so solid as the old one but the quality is still fine. It would have been nice to have steering wheel radio and cruise like on the old Bora but the stalk cruise works ok. I'm satisfied having looked and driven many others such as the Focus and Astra. It's not as good as the Focus on the road but the VW approach to minimalist aluminium bits swayed me in the end

I've Had Various Different Company Cars Over The Y

I've had various different company cars over the years, but this is my first VW. It wasn't what I expected, it seems to have it's fare share of minor problems and creaks inside, plus the dealer I have used seems only average. It took three visits to sort out a problem with the electric windows playing up. Surprising is the irritating design issues, like the radio controls being almost unusable while you are driving. It all tends to get on your nerves after a while when you drive a lot. To be honest, my previous car (Astra 2.0 DTi CD) was a better car by some margin.
