AT 70-75MPH ON MOTORWAY THIS CAR RETURNS 54MPG and if driven using the cruise control then economy is an overall excellent 48mpg.
Leather seats are cold this time of the year but thats the only thing i can fault it for. handling is excellent acceleration very impressive. it doesnt stand out on a car park which i think is excellent. The sat nav warns you of traffic hazards such as recent accidents and is as good as the agencys who update it. my only reservation s the engine noise during sharp acceleration but at speed it glides along mice and quietly.

I Had A 2.0 Tdi Skoda Octavia And Moved To The Ave
I had a 2.0 tdi Skoda Octavia and moved to the Avensis. On paper the peformance and fuel consumption are virtually the same. In practice lack of torque means lots of gear changes on A-roads and fuel consumption almost 10mpg down on the Octavia. It is comfortable to drive and if I bought this before the Octavia it would probably have been fine. My wife has an automatic 1.6 petrol Scenic and loves the Avensis. The Octavia jolted her neck when she accelerated! Say no more. Would I buy another? No. Do I regret buying this one. In spite of BIG dealer discount, yes.
