Had This On A Lease Through My Work. All My Mates

Had this on a lease through my work. All my mates laughed at me, wekll I am laughing now:)))

Have done 85000 miles in 3 years, no real issues. Loads of room for taller people and good for putting plenty of stuff in. Also take roof bars well for bikes

The only things I have had done are: Rear screen replaced due to element breaking, brake press knob replaced due to flaking of chrome and one of the telescopic thingy's on the rear tail lift failed.

Otherwise routine servicing and a shame to see it go really...lease up!

Graduating To A Skoda Superb From An Excellently E

Graduating to a Skoda Superb from an excellently equipped Octavia L&K was a risk. Could anything be better all round? The Superb Elegance is!

Downside? Fuel consumption slightly worse, though still very good indeed (very nearly 60 mpg last time I drove from Devon to Manchester on an unusually fluid M5 and M6), boot very slightly smaller, no rear wash-wipe.

Otherwise, it's a stupendously well specced car, splendid as commuting weapon or long-distance tourer: last summer a 600-mile ten-hour journey through France four-up was a pleasure not a pain.

Even on the apologies for motorways we have to tolerate in this country - the £300 billion or so taken from road-users over the past ten years, not withstanding - the Superb is a comfortable place to be.

The local family dealership provided an extremely good deal and gives very fine, very friendly, personal service.

Given the build-quality of Skodas, their specification, reliability, value for money and economy, it's difficult to see why anyone buys anything else. Better than anything at the price, they're much less expensive than anything else as good.

I Am A Former Vw Passat Sport Owner And Have Owned

I am a former VW Passat Sport owner and have owned this latest model Skoda Superb Elegance 1.9 tdi for 6 weeks and am delighted with it. I am 6ft 6ins tall and have plenty of leg and head room (even with a fitted sunroof). With my seat fully back, passengers still have plenty of leg room behind me - the extra 4 inches over the Passat really make a difference to their comfort.

The car came fully loaded complete with satnav, full leather, xenon headlamps, cruise control, climate control, 6 cd player, alloys, etc, etc, the only optional extras that I chose were the solar powered sunroof and metallic paint (which like all car manufacturers is an unjustified 'extra') The standard equipment on this car would cost thousands extra on a more accepted brand. Which leads me to my next point, I think of myself as a `pathfinder` for the Superb as it is still rare on the roads. Other drivers may scoff at the Skoda badge but I know that this car is every bit as good as the Passat it replaced and infact it is superior in many ways. It also cost less than the Passat despite all of the extra equipment that came as standard. It is also so nice to have a slightly different car to the usual VWs, Audis and BMWs that one sees absolutely everywhere.

Finally my local Skoda dealership is very friendly and helpful and offers the kind of personal service that is quite rare these days.

All in all the Skoda Superb is as its name suggests... Superb.
