I'm On My 7th Rover Montego. Don't Want Any Other
I'm on my 7th Rover Montego. Don't want any other car. I haven't found another 7 seater that I could afford to run. I want to keep mine going for ever if only they didn't rust so bad.it's economical, roomy, can sleep 2 in back. I love the under floor storage.

I Receive A Lot Of Abuse Owning A Rover Montego Es
I receive a lot of abuse owning a Rover Montego estate - this is my second. The car is comfortable, well-built, and very reliable. The first Montego was beaten by rust, which had taken hold under the previous owner, but the time I had it, nothing went wrong mechanically. It was just cheaper to find another than fix it.
Everytime I get hassle I merely remind people that even when I abuse it like a boy racer I still get 48 mpg. Servicing can be done myself in a couple of hours. The air and oil filters could not be better placed on the Perkins engine.
The flat loading area is more than big enough, without compromising the day to day handling. The roof bars have cross members which click in making it exremely practical. The additional storage under the floor is great for all sorts of important tools and stuff - like amplifiers! Plus if you get the optional child seats then the car becomes a 7-seater. Why would anyone want an MPV?

On To My 2nd Montego Estate Bought Second Hand, Us
On to my 2nd Montego estate bought second hand, used daily for work driving +16000miles per year.
Neither of the 2 have failed but have needed repairs on a regular basis, wheel bearings, shocks, suspension parts, discs etc.
Dead cheap to run, but not a sexy car to be seen in.
