Bad Transmissions Diff/gearbox Proplems Can Be &p
Bad transmissions diff/gearbox proplems can be £1000 upwards 45,000 miles vibration problems as did another Laguna in same garage four months later. Only car I've had that drains the tailgate trapped water over you when opened.
1.9l diesel estate 2004 kept between 40,000mls to 90,000.
Drivers seat gave up at 70,000 saggy. 50mpg after 70,000 45 before. Older Mondeo would be best value. Avold Passat's Oil burner's.

Have Had A 2l 16v Rti Renualt Laguna On A T Reg Fo
Have had a 2l 16v rti Renualt Laguna on a T reg for one year.
Never spent more than £1800 on a car before now.
Always got home in all of my many previous vehicles.
Never had breakdown cover before, never been so glad I got it free with my insurance!!!!
What a pile of rubbish this family car is, full service history, car checked out ok when purchased privately.
First long trip fifth gear began to whine, to us that know this is not such a problem (layshaft bearing wear) subsiquently first/second syncro went. What left me on the side of the road was the offside driveshaft failiure. Also stripped the gearbox during the driveshaft job- beyond economical repair!! cost £600.00 for new box And shaft. Would have been well over double this had it been done at the dealer. Air con, more like what a con!! Ineffecint when it does work increasingly irritating when it cuts in and out rapidly (not lack of gas for you smart alecs!!)
Repeated falling off of exhaust heatshields tend to be noisey.
Today a top end rattle developed into major failiure on the M5 suspected valve problem leading to headgasket and dumping of engine oil!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOT TO GO!
