1.6 Ehdi Sw 2012
This is my 2nd 308, this time an SW with the panoramic roof and 7 seat option. it also has the stop start which took some getting used to. The previous hatchback was more fun to drive and felt nippier, but then with all the added weight of the SW its not surprising. I have had mine re-mapped to around 150bhp (112kw) and it is much better to drive, not so laboured.
the only major problem is the dealerships are not interesting in hearing about any problems until its out of warranty, this one was not going into 2nd gear properly so it would 'pop out' when i brought the clutch upto bite. I had to take it to two dealers before they accepted there was a problem.
that aside, its a great family car, very cheap to run, easy to park and looks good in the modern car park. it has all the mod's - auto wipers - auto headlamps- L.E.D DLR's - electric mirrors, modular seating and air condotioning. its a comfy drive and the wife enjoys driving it as well. The book say's 67mpg!! i have never got it over 51 mpg and that was a 4 hour non stop night drive from Wales to Essex. Even after the re-map (to be fair i asked for power over mpg) there has been no improvement. Average mpg on the onboard computer is always around 44 -46 mpg.

Perfect Car
308 is my 3rd peugeot. Previous 3 all been solid, comfortable and relable cars. Bought brand new with atractive discount, that along with minimal running and maintenance costs and £30 excise makes the car very economical. Performance, space and ride are all spot on. I tried a new golf before the 308 and there is very little between them. Worst part is the poor residual values.. But that makes a 2 year old 308 a great choice.
