What A Piece Of C*ap! 2 Door Handles Have Fallen O
What a piece of c*ap! 2 Door handles have fallen off, rear doors will open but not shut again when the temeperature falls below freezing, the horn has stopped working, I've had 2 new washer/wiper pumps fitted, now it's stopped working AGAIN! The heater fan chooses when and when it does not want to work, usually stops working in winter when I need it most and resumes working order when summer comes :-S. The temperature readout permanently reads 60degrees (I wish).
I've thrown so much money at this car that I am at the end of my tether but now cannot afford to buy another one so it looks like I'm stuck with it. Buy one in haste, repent at leisure! Don't do it!

Ive Had This Car Since Last June, Ive Had Nothing
ive had this car since last june, ive had nothing but trouble from it. 1st of all the cars fan was constantly coming on and drained the battery, i had to jump start it all the time until i replaced the battery, since then the car was leaking diesel fumes inside through the vents and i have a new born baby and a little 5 yr old, they repaired the injector which was leaking that cost £350.00. then less than a month later my baby has breathing trouble and was addmitted to hospital in an oxygen tank, the leak has come through inside the car again. NEVER TRUST THIS CAR HIGHLY DANGEROUS!!!

I Bought My 307 Sw 2nd Hand And Was Initially Very
I bought my 307 SW 2nd hand and was initially very pleased. It is very practical and easy to drive and has quite a few standard features. The engine pulls well and it looks good. It is starting to go wrong now though and I can see it becoming very expensive. Wouldn't buy another one but can't afford an A4 Avant so will have to make do for now!

This Is My First Peugeot And Will Be My Last. I Ha
This is my first Peugeot and will be my last. I have found it very unreliable (constant anti-pollution faults) valve changed 3 times in 6000 miles, but apparently it wasn't that, I'm now told that I need a complete new exhaust system, which was apparently faulty to begin with! (the service department has had the car in on at least 5 occasions but somehow missed this! The Satnav has never worked properly (new unit fitted after 10 months), similarly the CD player (new unit fitted after 11 months) is also faulty. I dread going on a long journey as I never feel confident I will arrive!
The vehicle has done less than 10,000 miles in 12 months and spent more time in the workshop than my previous 4 Fords did in 12 years! I bought it for the versatility of the interior, but sitting comfortably inside awaiting the breakdown van pales after a while. The standard of dealership is also very poor. The last time it was towed in the rescue driver noticed on quick examination that one clip was loose (could have worked loose) and one nut had not been tightened at all (very unlikely to have worked loose!) All in all not a vehicle I would recommend to anyone.

Only One Bad Point About The Peugeot 307- The Coil
Only one bad point about the Peugeot 307- the coil burned after the first month of use, changed on guarantee, no other problems.
Well, already 2 years and 27500kms on the car, working wonderfully every day - my wife drives it ( I drive a 7.8l V8 Olds or 406 HDI ) and only good things to say about it: silent, smooth, confortable, so well equipped - automatic lights and wipers, digital AC and so on, next will be a 407 SW HDI automatic, this is for sure.

I Have Owned Peugeot's In The Past, And In General
I have owned Peugeot's in the past, and in general I have been impressed. However, with their present offerings, they seem to have lost the plot altogether!!
I have unfortunately owned my Peugeot 307 SW 2.0 16v for 18 months now, and what a pile of junk! Perhaps it should be noted that I am an automobile engineer (not a mechanic, an ENGINEER), so I do know a little bit about what I am about to rant on about.
I have suffered the following problems... (amongst others)... Persistent misfire (sufficient to increase fuel consumption by around 15%), several software downloads, and now waiting for a replacement ignition coil pack. 4, yes FOUR replacement indicator units. The latest appears to be holding together, or is it just that I now operate it with crossed fingers? The drivers seat cover came adrift, was refitted with the connector block for the heated seat simply placed under the cover!! My doctor says that the piles should heal fairly quickly now it has been repaired.
Front discs replaced (35,000 miles, fair wear and tear, I think not!!)
Radiator leaking, replaced.
CD player not working for the last two months, and I can't get a replacement! Will I accept a service reconditioned unit??? They are starting to test my patience!!
Drivers window goes up OK on automatic, but then proceeds to come half way down and stay there, great fun in the car wash!!
Foot-well carpets came adrift.
Horn stopped working. Official fix is to fit a self tapping screw into the steering wheel casting, would you believe?
In common with thousands of others, the electronic mileometer and service indicator went haywire, it is fixed now, but leaving me with a vehicle with around 5,000 fictitious extra miles on the clock, "We're not allowed to alter that Sir, it's against the law"
Drivers door and rear door water seals defective, still arguing the case with dealership.
One headlight cannot be adjusted correctly, as the bulb fitting into the reflector is faulty, "It'll be OK sir, they're all like that"
All in all not very well impressed, especially as my last vehicle (NOT a Peugeot!!!) did 150.000 miles from new with just routine service, tyres, pads, wipers and air con re-fill.
I shall NOT be buying another!!
You are an engineer and you bought a Peugeot, what were you thinking!
Hi,
I have the same model, now 18 months old and I can't wait to get rid of it.
The problems so far are ; window opens on its own, indicator causes high beam to come on, mileage and trip milage out by 10%, display panel fades and can't be seen, intermitent and unsolvable air condition problem.
So far I think most of the display panels have been replaced and other quality items.
I like the added feature that more hot air comes through the disc player than the heater.
I am sure there will be more problems to come.
Oh yes, I mentioned this to a saleman and he said "you surprise me as I have not heard any adverse comments with this car".
Merry Christmas

I Bought The Peugeot 307 Sw 2.0 16v Family Car New
I bought the Peugeot 307 SW 2.0 16v Family car new and was pleased with the seven seat versatility however the number of times I have had to get off work to have faults attended to has been difficult to say the least. Also I usually use the family car for holidays in the UK but with the manifold and bearing noises and constant brake problems and even though it was a new car, concerned for my families safety I have not done so
Due to the appalling number of faults I will never purchase a Peugeot vehicle again.
