Owned For 2 Months And I Feel Good Whenever I Driv

Owned for 2 months and I feel good whenever I drive this car, close the windows and it is utterly silent.

I opted for the GT version with Cruise, Panoramic Roof and much more.

I drove the Type R initially and found it very disappointing - this 2.2 Deisel Type S is a far, far, far better car all round than the Type R. I would argue that the Type S diesel would beat a Type R easily in real world driving.

Some really annoying points, however, the front seats do not return to their original position when you have accessed the rear - this is amazingly annoying as HONDA could have done so much better in this area. Another annoying omission is that the Audio does not have a MUTE button/option - a very annoying omission!

Other than those points it is a pleasure, a real sporty pleasure!

This Car Looks Fantastic And The 2.2 Diesel Gt Ver

this car looks fantastic and the 2.2 diesel gt version which i drive gives me plenty of power for the money which i paid. if you want a nice sporty, nippy car without wanting to pay the fuel and insurance cost of the more monsterous type-r then this is a great car for you!

plenty boot room also for its size which is great and the little extras which the gt version gives are a nice touch if you can pick a nearly new one up without breaking the bank

thumbs up!

I Am On My 8th Honda Civic. 6th Spaceship One! I

I am on my 8th Honda civic. 6th Spaceship one! I love them I had the type R pre-09, the pre-08 type s's, a 5drs, everything you can imagine. I have only ever had 1 problem and the dealer (Speedwell Honda) the best customer service ever. All warranty work whole wind shield replaced within 2 days, car full valet and given back to me. I had car loaned to me for free with fuel. I just bought my 8th civic the new 09 facelift type s gt diesel, orange with all the image kit on and wheels, I got 4,000 off and I got 13,800 for me 09 pre facelift civic and I originally, paid 14,600 for it new and its 9 months old. The new civic list price with accessories is 22 grand and I paid less than 18,000. I recommend speedwell Honda (in Devon any day). Best sales service and best customer service. Thank you all

Had The Honda Civic 2.2 For 2 Months Now, Fantasic

Had the Honda Civic 2.2 for 2 months now, fantasic car, a real joy to drive, I've had no issues as stated above. Great looks definatley the dash is like a spaceships, and loads of space. IMO if you are thinking of buying one get it ASAP.

Only negative is that i like the car so much i possibly clean it to much.

I Have Had My Type S Coming Up To 18 Months And Do

I have had my Type S coming up to 18 months and do about 110 miles a day in it (nost of it motorway). Apart from a problem with the handbrake when I first got it (it ended up on the drive accross the road!). I can't fault it.

The car drives a dream quick when need be and makes my long journeys a pleasure, I like to sit in it with its funky looks and I love the sleak lines of its exterior!

My fuel comsumption is pretty good (and I don't drive it like a sissy either!). I think if you need a work horse but like a bit of style and speed, then this is the car for you!

Owned 3 Months, I Am Pretty Impressed. Looks Good

Owned 3 months, I am pretty impressed. Looks good & performs well (if not as good as last Celica). The dash looks ace at night and I like the seats, although they scrimp a bit on the alcantara in places. It understears when pushing on, but generally drives well. I can get 52 (53 quoted average) around the pennines, driving like my dad. I haven't driven it flat out for long enough, but am guessing mid 40's if I do. All diesel figures from the government are very optimistic without doubt.Bad bits!It hasn't used any oil 2000 miles in, but am aware of the disclaimer to check it every time you fuel. Oil is 0w30 synthetic Castrol Edge at £47 per 4 litres. It takes 6.5 litres which is a serious hit come service time (tip-Makro £35+ vat). The rubber grip on the handbrake came away after a week, annoying but I haven't taken it back yet. The hand brake itself is pants. You need loads of pull and it is creak city when you get in or out. Even worse than my old Vectra. Also the Type S badge on the back was not stuck properly. Ditto tailgate slam to shut. Also the paint scratches easy when rubbing off tar spots. Oh and you can't tell what the car behind you is due to spoiler and can't see at all in rain.

Despite all this still like it.

I Got My Honda Civic Type S For Christmas And Have

I got my Honda Civic type s for Christmas and have had nothing but bother with it. The clutch has failed twice, the pedal completely stuck to the floor and smoke piled out of the bonnet in the middle of the city centre. Then, about a month later I was driving along doing about 65mph when the engine died and the steering lock came on! Contacted dealership and the main engineer said they had replaced a part but couldnt guarantee it was the right one. Several letters and phonecalls later, we haven't heard a thing from honda uk. Disgusted with this car and the treatment I have received. Do not buy a type S if you want a RELIABLE car!
