Good Points About This Car......well I Have So Man

Good points about this car......Well I have so many, I did a lot of research before I brought the 1 series. I was looking at buying the Audi A3 or the VW Golf and I can honestly say that I've made the right choice. My friend has just brought a new Audi A3 and it just does not compare to the 1 series at all, and its in a different league to the VW Golf. The interior in the 1 series is beautifully done. I have leather seats in mine which makes all the difference but its pricey at an extra £1600. I have a few extras of mine like the comfort pack, parking sensors front and back, I didn't buy the sat nav as thats an extra £1600 as well but I wish I had of now as it looks really smart. I find it to be really comfortable inside so does anyone who sits in the front or the back. I know there are quite a few reviews that say theres not a lot of room inside but I disagree with that totally. I've got the 118i SE which is a 2 litre and its really quick, not as quick as I thought it was going to be but its still quick. Also the 2007 model come with the A-Engine stop which cuts out at lights or in traffic when you take your foot off the clutch then restarts when you drop the clutch, it saves a fortune on petrol.and this can be switched off at the push of a button so it runs like a normal engine. Its a right eye catcher.

Lovely car, really happy with it, enough room inside, it catches the eye, beautifully made, performance is really good, handling is really good. You need to get the 2007 model and onwards as the 06 does not have the new eco-engine and the engine has also been tweaked. Don't think about it, just buy it. If your considering the Audi A3 over this then think again, the Audi is nothing on this!

Great review, and having test-driven one (the Sport) I must admit they are very impressive. I think the 2.0D engine is probably the pick of the bunch, at least according to other reviews (same engine as in the 3s and 5s).

But my point is this, isn't the 1 series just a little too expensive for your average punter, especially if this is the run-around second car rather than the main family car (and with anything more than a baby, you'd want more room in the back)? Even 2nd hand prices remain high (it is after all a BMW). Isn't it too much for what you get? And if you can afford a 1 series fully loaded, wouldn't you want to trade up and get a 3 anyway?
